    Hey Cooper23:

You’d asked about my Golden on one of the other threads and I mentioned that he was doing okay. There’s an update to that as of yesterday…he’s back to doing okay this afternoon (well as okay as can be expected)…but last night we had to rush him to emergency surgery for a twisted stomach. So this makes 2 exam sections where the day before I take the exam my world gets turned upside down. Back in May the day before BEC – the cancer diagnosis and now the night before AUD – emergency surgery where we rush him there at 10:30, home by midnight, first call from surgeon at 1:00am to say they are starting, second call at 2:30am to say they are done and he survived and then wake up at 5:30 to take the test at 8:00am. Needless to say, I have no idea how I did on the exam because I sure wasn’t focused. Hopefully enough was stuck in my brain to get a 75 so that I never have to have another “day before the CPA exam”. Those don’t work out so well for me.

Oh, on a side note, Prometric’s AC was broken which might not be bad in all parts of the country but I’m in Vegas, in July, with our high today of 107. Grateful that it was only 82 in the room when I was there at 8 but the fans and a portable AC made a ton of noise and distraction. Feeling really sorry for the 1:00pm’ers and hoping they got it fixed for them.

    FAR - 93 (YAY!!!!)
    REG - 93 (Double YAY!)
    BEC - 87 (Whew!)
    AUD - 96 (DONE!!!!!)

OMG!!!!!! I am so glad to hear he is ok! I cannot believe that you made it to your test! You rock!

This is your last test too? I just took audit on Monday and it is my last test- fingers crossed!

I have another dog and he was at the emergency vet last Thursday night for blood in his urine. I'm monitoring right now but fingers are crossed that it was merely a UTI and nothing more serious.

It's always something with the senior dogs, right? I hope your dog feels better soon!

Yup, last test (hopefully!) I guess we'll find out on the 22nd. Good luck!

I wasn't quite as big of a wreck this time because I knew he had already woken up. Figured I might as well try since it would have been a 100% forfeit of the fees with an under 24hour cancellation. I should probably have taken prometric up on their rescheduling offer this morning due to the AC problem, though, but I wasn't thinking clearly and I was already there.

The cancer diagnosis before BEC was much worse since that was such an shock and unknown of how much time we would have left. Based on that I passed BEC and I was doing much better on the AUD practice exams than BEC, I'm cautiously optimistic I might have squeaked by.

Good luck with your monitoring. Hopefully it is a UTI. Isn't it nice to all of sudden have time freed up to take care of the them? I've neglected them (along with a bunch of other stuff) while studying so I'm looking forward to getting him home so that I can spoil him rotten. So glad that there's no next exam to study for (at least not until the 22nd if a retake is necessary)

    Thanks for the well wishes.

The first couple of nights I didn't know what to do! All I knew was rushing through dinner and then studying!

Yep, I think the day is 8/22 (or maybe 8/21?). Fingers crossed for both of us!!
