I'm having trouble re-applying to take the exam with the online system. I can log on and my past exams and scores are listed, but it's asking me to re-enter all my info, including all my educational credit hours and dates. Am I doing this wrong? I wouldn't think I'd have to do this each time I register. Thanks.

Question:
How are they? I'm planning to take Auditing in order to be licensed in NY as well
Does NY Board accept Auditing from LSU Online (they should as it's an upper-level class...starts with 3 and LSU is regionally accredited).
I'm really having so much trouble with the NY Board (California gave my foreign degree 172 credits while NY gave 120) that I'm taking nothing for granted.

I have a friend that told me she knows someone who got GA to include their introductory courses. Does anyone know or have heard of that happening? Georgia doesn't allow lower division courses. So you have to get 30 upper division accounting courses which is really a lot. Most schools you get 24 upper division courses.

I would appreciate any info that anyone could provide from experience in taking the CPA exam in a state and then transferring to another state.

More specifically, I live in Alabama and am looking at taking the CPA exam through Georgia so I can start right after i finish my MBA this fall. I did have a few questions that I can't seem to find direct answers from either state.

1. If I register through Georgia, do I physically have to take each section in the state?
2. If I pass the CPA in Georgia, do I need to meet Georgia license requirements first before transferring (reciprocity) or can I transfer to Alabama and then meet Alabama experience requirements to get licensed?

Any tips are appreciated.

I took Backer review preparation course and while I was browsing internet this after I found this info.

Please note that any Becker Uniform CPA Exam prep review courses you take can be counted towards your total number of college credit hours for certification; however, you should be careful not to take duplicative courses, as they may not be counted towards this requirement. For example, if you have any audit coursework in your transcript history, you cannot count the Becker exam prep audit review course towards your total number of accounting hours.

Has anybody from Arizona, shed some information on this. If indeed this info is correct, how would I prove that I took the becker review to the board, it won't be in the transcript...Do you know what I mean...Thanks

Is CPA from Icfai globally recognized?
I think its a lame question but then....Are there different set of question papers prepared in India for CPA (Icfai).. Are the subject patterns same in CPA(India) when compared to CPA (US)?
Pass Percentage (in India preferably)?
Cost structure of the program - Tariff in India - Tuition Fee - Exam Fee - Registration fee ?
Frequency of the exams in India?
How much Hours should I invest to crack ?

I know this is a silly question but want to make sure i do this correctly. I am in the process of applying for the exam. I know that it says on top that the name on the application has to appear the same as the name on my identification at the testing center. I will be using my drivers license so it is my first name, middle initial and last name. When applying for the exam, do i enter my first name and last name and just put my first initial for my middle name?

I have selected my sections from the Californial Board of Accountancy website.
My home page now says the ATT has been sent to NASBA.

I think I am just waiting on a payment coupon?
(when should I expect to see this? email or snailmail? or online through login???)

Then once I pay I wait for a NTS?
(when should I expect to see this? email or snailmail? or online through login???)

Maybe I am making this way more complicated.
TIA!

It would be really therapeutic for a bunch of candidates to get together to trash this exam lol. I think most of us only know a couple of other candidates. It would be nice to hear about other peoples misery lol. So would Houstonians be interested in a get together?

Over the past 3 days I have been having such a difficult time keeping my momentum up. Every morning I wake up and log in to the CA website to see if my application has been approved. No change. I applied in September!!!! With the hope of scheduling FAR in November.
But, my first application was denied because a transcript of mine listed incorrect personal information.
Now I have contacted the school, and the corrected transcript was recieved by CA 4 weeks ago.

Since Sept. I have changed my test taking plan and hope to tackle BEC first, then AUD, FAR and REG.

I've been studying BEC for 6 weeks and I am slowly losing drive. I would like to test in JAN, but I haven't even been approved yet, much less received a NTS and try to schedule.

Should I just hold off on studying until I'm approved?

After passing the last exam, the CA Board of Accountancy is telling me that they won't accept the AUD score from NJ because I sat for the exam before completing the CA education unit requirements.

Hi everyone! I just got accepted to sit for the CPA exam through CA, I did this as I only have 128 credits. I wanted to start taking the exams during the first window of 2012. My plan was to obtain my CPA license through CA and then take course work to meet the requirements and have the license transferred. Now, I am wondering if this was a smart move. I have been thinking about applying through MD as you only need 120 credits to SIT for the exam, but you need 150 credits to become licensed. My question is, if I do happen to take my exams going through CA and I pass, can I transfer the passed exams to MD, without getting licensed through CA and complete the additional credits so I am licensed in MD? I was wondering if anyone has done this or if its even worth it at this point. I really appreciate any feedback.

I am slowly preparing myself for Ethics test and accumulating all the paper work and I was wondering if anyone could tell me their experience with Ethic test in CA. I was looking at CalCPA website and they offer text and online access, I am leaning more towards online one, is that the right thing?

Please let me know thanks!!

Hi, everybody. First time poster here!

I just filed my initial application with the VA Board of Accountancy to sit for the exam. I am hoping that I will be able to sit for my first section during the first window of 2012 (Jan-Feb) in order to coincide best with my Becker courses. My question is, typically how long does it take to hear back from the board after filing your initial application, and what is the likelihood of me being able to sit during that window?
