Some good instrumental prog-rock to study to, without lyrics to muddle my brain while reading. Love this band.

Hey now!!! My musical posts are fantastic!

Neika's throwback station sounds like my High School playlist, which wouldn't be complete without the complete works of the No Limit, Cash Money, and Ruff Ryders labels, lol.

I've got my Throwbacks station on Spotify playing all day at work now. Not exactly work appropriate once DMX starts to blast, but I've got some old-school Mariah, Missy Elliot, R. Kelly, and Usher (my love) playing allll day long :).

I like to get classy for my studying though, and only play classical music. Otherwise I'll sing along the whole time.

I use the "Red Eye Radio" station on Pandora a lot - it is kind of electronic type stuff w no lyrics. I prefer to study to music w/o lyrics but Jazz and Classical just put me straight to sleep.

At work I listen to playlists on an app called Songza. Its free and similar to Pandora but a million times better - no audio adds and the playlists are just better. I only use Pandora for the Red Eye radio because I have used it since before I discovered Songza and haven't taken the time to find something a playlist to replace it.

tncincy, not sure my AUD tips would be useful since I didn't pass it the first time lol. Really thought I had it but I'll definitely kill it in August :)! Good luck on FAR! You can do this! Just keep studying as much as you can! FAR is very doable once you have the concepts down :)

Wow. So glad to know I'm not the only one over the hill. Turned 42 this year but feel 32.I'm married with 2 kids and a bunch of pets.
I did a tax internship this spring with 22-24 year olds. I never felt my age until one day when listening to the radio in our windowless cubby land and 2 fellow interns had never heard of the move Purple Rain but they sure could sing the backstreet boys. It's all how you act and feel :) and "75" sure looks good to me now.

Candothis - I'm thinking of taking the exam in GA b/c AL may not give me credit for my Bus. Law class I took in the 90's. May have to take the exam then find another on-line class to finally finish AL's 33 accounting hours.

@MBA MST Haven't you heard??? The 50's are the new 30's!!!! I don't feel one day over 30 either. The exam is a marathon and at times I felt quite drained because I wasn't getting to exercise as much as I had been used to but I am feeling much better now.

Good luck with FAR on Tuesday!! Rock it and be done!!!!

Just turned 24 this month and I'm married with 0 kids as of yet. I guess I'm still considered a "newly wed"? We got married 8/31/12.

I think after I pass FAR (and am done with the CPA exams) I'm going to have to go straight into my Masters or something else similar to the CPA exams (if in existence) in order to get my mother off my back about having children.

Hoping to put them off til 28-29. I'm young, married, and now have a lil bit of change in my pocket now that I'm out of college, so I want to enjoy this time before children!

I am 28 with a wife, a 5 month old daughter, 2 dogs, and a cat at home :) I turn 29 in July and my goal is to finish this test and the rest of my master's by the time I am 30. The original plan was to do a PhD and multiple certificates and end up a professor, but as MCLKT mentioned the guilt from being away from my daughter is forcing me to reconsider any additional aspirations at this point.

47. Have been self-employed for about 18 years and its time for a change. Just passed the exams and I only need my 1 year of experience. My last resume was done on a typewriter and I can't even remember the last time I went to a job interview. Hopefully somebody will hire an old guy like me this fall which is when I plan to make to move.

MINTS!!! Class of 2004, oh yeah!!!!!

My goal was to finish while I was still 30. But I turned 31 in April. Now the goal is to finish in 2013.

If MBA MST CPA's wife is a CPA widow, then my daughter is a CPA orphan :`(
I don't think the exam itself is more difficult for those with families at home, or single parents.
But the amount of guilt for time away and missing events sure doesn't help. And all of the pressure to finish and make everyone proud, especially my daughter is almost unbearable. I have got to finish this.

@Seattle - Jeff has 6 kids now :)
