I just wanted to post in here to say that if you take BEC and everything doesn't feel like it is clicking together, save hope because I felt that way the whole time I was studying and during my exam and still came away with a passing score! Now on to FAR, a lot more material but I imagine it will be a lot more cohesive.

I am checking in from Oregon and just found out I passed BEC - Yahoo.
I thought I had failed after I left the testing center.
It just goes to show that you never know.
The celebration is on for tonight and the holiday weekend.

M-audit. Nobody can allude to what they saw on the exam itself. If they do they are violating the disclosure agreement that you make when you take the exam. If someone did try to give you that information, their post would likely be edited or removed.

Just take whatever information that your review material provides about SIMS and utilize that.
Also be comfortable with how to use the authorative literature as you can use it for every single sim as long as you leave yourself enough time. Good luck!

I thought the MC was harder than the sims. However, one of the sims was out of left field and reminded me of something I'd see on FAR or BEC not Audit.

Becker does not provide you with all the different code section in their research tool. So when you use the search tool instead of just getting AU standards you get all the auditing, attestation, ethics standards, etc. I found that when you have all the code sections the search bar becomes a bit useless because of the information overload. I was finding that first I had to do a vague search just to figure out where I was looking. Then when you have the area in the standards you can do narrow searches within the particular statement. Its just different then Becker, luckily I had seen a post about it so it wasn't totally foreign, but I was definitely thrown off a bit regardless.

Exam experience pretty much the same as the last few posters. To start with, a lot less horrific than FAR. Overall the second testlet was marginally harder than the first but that being said there were a fair amount of softball questions in section 1. The second and third testlet were really no harder than each other they seemed to just test different areas. Each had 10Q where you could always get the answer down to a 50/50 educated guess. Although I could have bombed the second testlet, its hard to tell. Having done so many practice MCQ its hard to figure out what constitutes harder. In comparison to FAR where there was so much material, a difficult AUD question seems to be more about whether you either studied/understood the fact or you skipped it/didn't learn it when reviewing.
The Sims were pretty much what was expected, never easy yet always something you should have studied harder. The code helps ALOT. But worth taking note that you must be wary of not burning too much time searching. Also for those using JUST Becker and are not used to all the code sections combined it takes you by surprise its alot of code to work through. Hope this helps, good luck to those yet to take AUDIT. Overall not as bad as other sections.

Just got back for AUD. I'll say this first - it wasn't nearly as hard as FAR was, but it still was a challenging exam.

I thought that the testlets weren't really getting much more difficult. I was surprised by this because I felt really confident about my answers and read the questions very slowly and carefully. Maybe I just knew the material well but who knows? The SIMS were pretty rough. I was able to find 1 word for word in the AL and the AL did help with others. I'd say I'm confident on 4 of the SIMS while the other ones are a toss-up (just hoping for partial credit on them!).

Oh well, just hoping for the best now.

I took Aud on Friday. I felt the test was very doable. I did not notice any change in difficulty, which worries me a little bit. There were probably about 10 MCQs where I could narrow it down to 2 answers and I went with my gut. I took about an hour for the first three testlest and spent 2 hours on the sims. I think there was only one, I was not comfortable with. Most of them I was able to look up in the AL. I am hoping I will get my second pass and be half way done.

I took audit yesterday, which was my first exam. First two testlets were very easy. Third testlet was very hard. Then the sims. Oh the sims :( . I know I got one sim completely right and the research question. I could have completely failed the others.

Looking back, I know what my mistakes were. I was too confident because I've been an auditor for 4 years, and I probably only put in 50 hours of studying. I went over the chapters from Becker that I was told were going to be tested the most at least twice, and some chapters that I thought weren't as important only once. Maybe it's because you tend to remember the questions you struggled with, but I felt like most of my test was over topics that I thought weren't important when I was studying.

I'm pessimistic about my results, but other people have been surprised with passing scores so maybe I still have a chance!

@Redhotassets I had the EXACT Same experience. I felt the testlets did not get progressively harder, but I also felt like I did very well on the first testlet, I only flagged 1 or 2, so maybe that is just a good sign that we knew the material! SIMs were a little tougher, but I think I did much better on the AUD sims than I did on FAR due to being able to use the AL. Good luck!

I took AUD on Friday. I felt really good about the first testlet and some of the questions seemed incredibly easy to me. Then I got to the second testlet and the questions seemed equally easy, so I'm worried I missed seemingly easy questions in the first testlet. The third testlet was definitely harder. The AL helped me in all of my SIMs except for one that I had a rough time with (I felt like it was a bit subjective with answer choices, hoping it was pretest!). Overall, it'll turn out either really horrible or really good.

I took Audit yesterday and am very mixed about it. The first section I completely nailed, I would guess at least 28 out of 30 on it. The second testlet was very hard and i'm not sure. However, the third one was also extremely hard so I am thinking I did alright on the second one which gives me a bit of hope.

I know I got 3 out of 7 completely right as I was able to utilize the research materials to get me to the right answers. With the other 4, i'm pretty sure I managed at least 70% on them if not more than that, just hope that the one awkward one isn't the scored one.

Since I got back, I looked up some questions and I know I got 2 of my 50/50's wrong plus also completely messed up one small section of a simulation (2 parts out of 16 so not a massive deal). Don't know what I was thinking on any of them, guess the pressure of the exam got to me a little bit and my brain just stopped working.

Overall, it was a mixed bag. The 3rd testlet is what worries me the most as I flagged up about 9 questions and wasn't sure about 6 more so if things went against me it might not be good. The only thing that is a plus point is that I came out of FAR and REG feeling similar and I managed a 95 and a 93 respectively. All in all, I studied as much as I possibly could have done and I hope my score reflects the time and effort I put in.

The first section seemed to be pretty easy and I only skipped over a few. The second testlet made my mouth drop open a little because the questions seemed significantly harder. While the last testlet seemed a bit better than the second, it was harder than the first. I think the questions seemed to be on track with the study material but I was pretty surprised that the questions remained relatively short throughout all three testlets.

As usual, the simulations seemed really hard! Attempted to use the authoritative literature, but it wasn't as much help as I had hoped. I ended with about an hour and a half left, after taking my time on all sections and searching the AL thoroughly. I've given up trying to guess how I did, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for the next two weeks!!!

I'm bad a judging testlet difficulties, but I didn't feel strong on any of them. I flagged 7 on the first two and 5 on the third, but probably could have flagged more. There were so many questions where I felt the answer options were just bizarre.

The sims were a bit better. The research question was hard, but I found it after 15 minutes. 4 of the remaining 6 I was able to find in the AL for the most part. The other two I was half guessing on. If I pass, I think it will mostly be due to the sims

At least I won't have to wait very long to find out my score. 13 days...

@jason I'm going to throw out my fear since it will create stress. I'll think of it as easy and feel confident. I'll just think otherwise when I see a failing grade which I hope I wouldn't get!

I did notice a bump in difficulty but everything is doable. Like twisting of words. Tricky multiple choices with one word that makes it correct/wrong.

I was confident coming out of the test but here is the thing...I think that since the test is graded based on the amount of difficult questions you get right, even flagging a few might be the difference b/w a pass and a fail...you've got to realize that a lot of other people (who studied) got the easy questions right too...so in my opinion, the AUD test really comes down to a few hard questions that are up for grabs and of course the SIMs...

As I said, I was confident coming out that I did OK, but that makes me think I may have failed...

I took AUD last week. I felt confident with it as compared to my experience with FAR. Maybe because I'm well rested when taking the exam as compared to when I took FAR.

MC: doable, I flagged 3-5 per testlet.
SIMS: I'm confident with it.

Hope I pass!
