I don't understand the hate for Becker on this website. I frequent the forums often, and typically the posters with the highest scores for any section have used Becker. This has been a crazy journey for my family and me. I found out I was pregnant with baby number 4 two weeks before taking FAR. I only allowed myself one break each time while pregnant. I walked out of FAR sure that I had failed. I was wrong which gave me the motivation to continue on while pregnant. </p> <p>Studying and having pregnancy fatigue was hard to overcome. Failing REG and AUD with borderline scores almost caused me to quit but my husband encouraged me to go on. Plus I didn't want to lose credit for FAR, never wanted to take or study for that test again. While trying to decided whether or not a gamble scheduling to take AUD for my 37th week I discovered this website. I'm so glad I did! The study plan and ninja notes helped put me over the edge and gave me the confidence to study hard to 2 1/2 weeks so I could be 1/2 done with a newborn instead of 1/4. </p> <p>I did take AUD which 37 weeks pregnant and had my son less than 3 days later. I only took one break and thought I was in labor at one time during the test but I continued on. I found out in November that I passed!</p> <p>I took three months off from studying to be with my little guy then hit the books again. This time with the Ninja study plan and notes. I passed REG and just barely passed BEC. Now my baby is 8 months old and I'm done with the CPA Exam!!</p> <p>My study materials included CPAexcel, Ninja Notes, CPAreviewforfree sims for REG, AUD, and BEC. I have had to learn how to effectively dedicate myself to studying over an extended period of time (something that I never had to do in college, graduate school, etc.) all while balancing working, the gym, and most importantly family life with a sometimes nagging wife and two small daughters. </p> <p>I know that this is not going to strike a chord with some people (or perhaps strike the wrong chord with others), but in my humble opinion the bark of the CPA exam is somewhat louder than its bite, once it is broken down into manageable pieces. Yes, looking at it as a whole can be extremely overwhelming... I had all of the requirements to sit for the exam by the middle of 2011 but didn't sit for the first section until November 2012, partially due to other obligations but partially due to the fact that I had almost universally heard how difficult it was and how all-encompassing it would become. However, sitting for BEC first gave me the momentum to move on the subsequent three sections and I realized that it wasn't as difficult as many people made it out to be. Before taking BEC, I had never heard of Another71 or the Wiley Test Bank and had prepared as if the actual exam was as difficult as the questions in the back of the Wiley book (which, in retrospect, are significantly more difficult than the actual exam questions when taken as a whole). </p> <p>I'm not attempting to project that the exam was easy; in fact it was the most difficult academic/professional achievement of my life thus far. For those of you who are just starting out, you're going to get there... go in with a positive attitude and build on your strengths instead of worrying about your weaknesses.
