How long did you study for this attempt? If you studied 5-6 weeks and got a 60, then yes 7 weeks may be enough time for a retake. If you studied 7 weeks or more already you'd either need to increase the hours per week or switch up your technique.

Please don't be fooled, you do not need 15 points. You need 75. Treat this as your first time, not a retake.

Well i did not have the best studying habit at all… i took i would say 3 months to read the material and then i did questions for about a month or 2 only really working on it one day a week until the very end. I know now that it was horrible on my end. For AUD i was able to knock the material out in 3 weeks and also have started reviewing questions. I am just wondering if ifs possible to get through the material if i put in about 15-20 hours a week and still have time to get through all the Ninja MCQ.

I have not applied for it here was my thinking… I took FAR April 25th and had to wait a whole month. I didnt want to waste a months time so i started AUD, i was planning on taking AUD first week of July followed my FAR at the end of August so i would get 2 exams in the testing window.

    1) Do this (video): https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-study-plan/

    2) Do it for 7-8 weeks max

    Use your NINJA Book/MCQ 🙂

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

I took 8 weeks for my FAR re-take and I believe that gave me the time that I needed to pass. I started from the very beginning watching videos, taking notes, etc. I'm more of an audio-visual learner so reading the material didn't do much for me, except to skim through. If I had to recommend one just go with NINJA since the MCQs are integrated into the book so you can apply what you read immediately. Don't forget to take as many notes as possible, do flashcards and learn the J/Es and apply them to the MCQs even to the ones that don't require one. Also NINJA MCQs all the way for FAR! Good luck!

Oh, and move on with AUD since you're already through the material. Then go back to FAR as soon as possible. That's my recommendation. 🙂

I am struggling with how to advise in this situation for 1 reason.

Since you basically didn't study over the course of 3 months, which means you probably didn't have a grasp of the topics for FAR. Normally, the community would suggest that even though you are studying AUD, you would want to keep retaking FAR until you pass.

Of course, if your NTS expires soon etc for the other exam then that would be a caveat. Have you been studying for AUD the same way you studied for FAR or have you been more focused and putting the required time in?

I am been much more focused with AUD i was able to get through the material in 3 weeks by studying 2 sometimes 3 hours a day. I also have Ninja Notes which i plan to utilize unlike what i did for FAR. I only skimmed through the Ninja Notes and didnt really take my own notes. I also am really trying to get to the review phase of the MCQ. Basically i am doing a complete 180 and studying how i should have from the get go. The trouble with FAR i think is it has been so long since i read the material i would have to read it all again, which is why i asked about the Ninja Book.

Take a look at this article – most people are combo

I am highly hands-on so reading the book or watching videos tends to make me day dream. I need to be researching and answering a question to learn the best .

Bad thing is i think i am a mix of those haha…. The crappy thing i found about CPAExcel is the lack of structure which is where my problem lies. I like structure and having a set schedule.
