I just passed all CPA exams under Alaska State. Now I need to fulfill the 150 hrs requirements within 3 years.

I was wondering if you guys could get me some insight on the Keller/Devry online program. I’ve read that it prepares you for the CPA. I already passed four so I think this would be somewhat easy. Did any of you try it? how fast can I finish 22 credit hours worth of classes? do you recommend a specific program I should go with?

I work fulltime, so I need something online to the required credits.

I currently have 128 from my BS.

I CANT BELIEVE I'M OFFICIALLY DONE. *Tears of joy*

I had 141 hours when I finished my bachelors and gained my last 9 with keller. Devry and Becker have some kind of relationship. I believe Devry owns Becker. Anyways, 4 of the courses are the Becker review materials.

I can't speak for the rest of the Keller courses because I didn't take them, but if you've already passed the tests take these 4 courses for sure.

I would apply as a NON DEGREE SEEKING STUDENT. It's imperative to get this right on your application or it becomes a huge ordeal to change it. I think you could get these 9 credits done in one semester easy. Also, applying as a non degree seeking student allows you to pick your classes more easily. IMO you could complete these 24 credits in one year while working full time with no problem. Plus you pay per hour until 12 hours so I would try to get 15 credits one semester to save a little money. Feel free to ask any additional questions.

Keller cost me like $5,500 for 9 hours, but my only other option was to take a full time MAcc program for 20k that wouldn't allow me to work. Needless to say it has been a lifesaver.

Do you have the required accounting credits? If so, all you need is college credits. It could be anything! You already have the CPA exams done, I would just have fun and take Spanish, Film Studies, Literature Studies, Sociology, Psychology or anything at all that tickles your fancy. Expand your horizons! Look at online college credit courses at LSU, or some other online, cheaper tuition. Maybe look at a local college if it is not expensive. That is what I would do if I already had the accounting requirements and just needed credits.
