You can't tell me they are using “creative” scoring to get a consistently low pass rate.

I told you guys. I knew REG was 100% the hardest for 2011. I'm surprised it even got that high.

My .02 cents worth on the Low Passing Rate. I think the low pass rates has more to do with the weighted change from MC 70%/Sim 30% to now MC 60%/TBS 40%. I felt when I was taking the exam that doing poorly on the Multiple choice questions could break your exam with little hope of passing but now with the new split that is not so much. Also, the written communications always seemed to be a buffer for the old exams and now with the new TBS you really need to know how to understand and apply the concepts more than ever. Also remember that historically First and Fourth quarter scores are lower than Second and Third quarters. No way to know for sure whether that will remain the same or not. Good Luck to everyone still taking the exams. A quote from the great Coach John Wooden, “Failure to Prepare is Preparing to Fail”. Don't short change your preparation or you will most certain be taken the exam again.

They made it 60/40 to lower the passing rates. All the sections got lower passing rates , REG being affected the most and AUD being the least affected. Logic would tell you that BEC should get higher passing rates with the addition of written communications but that wasn't the case. This truly gives the impression that they “play with the grades” to get a certain passing percentage.

I'm not surprised that REG was the lowest. I wish they disclosed a graph that shows a nice little “bell curve” to show how high & low these scores were. It felt like there were a LOT of BEC scores in the 70s this time.

    FAR - 92 --- AUD - 87 --- REG - 80 --- BEC - 87

So Ill ask the question, what do you guys think the raw score to pass was, I mean without any curve or anything if you think theres a curve

    FAR 92
    AUD 91
    BEC 11/06/2011
    REG 02/01/2012

I still think they curved up grades for FAR at least…no way I got a 79 on raw score. All the bright international candidates will surely curve the score down after international testing debuts. For all you guys still testing get it done asap!!!
