Accepted offer but worried about 150 unit requirement (CA)

Is it true the BIG4 will rescind their offer if you don’t meet the (post 2014) 150 unit requirement in CA? I passed the CPA exam in 2014 (I registered in 2013) and have well over 150 units. The problem is that starting in 2014, your 150 units had to meet minimum unit requirements in Accounting/Business-Related/Accounting-Study/Ethics categories. I’m short 9 units according to that rubric.

I recently accepted an offer but am concerned if this will be an issue during the background check.

I don’t begin until the fall and plan to finish these units by then. Nevertheless, I’m worried this will complicate matters.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

“I don't begin until the fall and plan to finish these units by then.”

Then don't sweat over it. Most hires haven't completed the requirements at the time they received their offers (they are still in school!).

All they care about is if you are actually doing something to complete the requirement. It would be different if you had not passed the exam and had not even started thinking about meeting the 150 requirement.
