Hi, I have a quick question regarding to the accountable plan and the miscellaneous deduction.

If the employer of the tax player provides accountable plan, that means the tax player has nothing to deduct under the miscellaneous deductions. Because all the business related expenses reimbursements are not included in the W2.

In other words, the miscellaneous deduction is only for the person who has Unaccountable plan. Because the employer includes the business expenses reimbursement in the tax payer’s W2 income. And the employee (tax player) can only deduct the amount in excess of 2% of the AGI.

Please let me know if I am wrong.

Thank you very much for your time!
