Advice on how to handle the rest of my CPA sections

I need a bit of advice on how to handle the rest of my sections. I passed Audit a long time ago (expires January 2015) and then I decided to get all cutesy and slack off for a long time after passing one, which obviously is my fault. Since then, I have started a full-time job and just got word that I failed BEC by a couple of points. I know there were some areas I wasn’t particularly strong with, but was hoping to pull away with a 75.. obviously that didn’t work here. REG is supposed to be my next section, but I haven’t started studying for it yet.. even though it has been 3 weeks since I took it, BEC is still fairly fresh in my mind. Do I take it beginning of October? My REG NTS expires end of November, so I would have decent time to study for it after I retake BEC, but my program +wiley questions DOES expire November 3rd.. I would have enough time to watch the REG videos, take notes, and do some questions, but then I would need perhaps another supplement for a month to study with (Ninja MCQ probably!)… also, I need to get FAR done before January 30th.. but that seems minor in the grand scheme of things now.. lol. Any advice? Thanks!

    BEC 10/1

    REG 10/30

FAR 11/30 that way you have a chance for Jan retakes

Not an ideal plan but if that's what you want to not lose credit for AUD

It would have to be intensive studying as FAR and REG are considered harder than AUD and BEC

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

    With a full time job…

    BEC 10/1

    Reg 11/30

    Far 1/2X

    Study 25 to 30 hours a week.

I agree, with a full time job, AUD-BEC-REG-FAR I think is better. This way, even if you run out of time, AUD and BEC do not require as much time to prepare for compared to REG and FAR.

@x — I did the same thing — took audit in May 2013, didn't test again and then started thinking about it in May of 2014. I took BEC in August, then am taking FAR on 10/15 and REG 11/27 (three days before AUD goes away). I have just buckled down and study as much as I could. My Becker also expires 11/30/14. I am also supplementing with Ninja notes and CPAreviewforfree.

You can do it. I too have a demanding full-time job and have two children. Good luck!

Thanks, looks like i'll take BEC again beginning of October. Probably not much room for breaks, but it is what it is.. hopefully I can pull through.

I was going to type out a plan, but then I saw that it would look exactly like bbrandenburg10's suggestion. Ditto to that one. It gives a reasonable amount of time for each to have a solid chance at passing. You just have to stick to the study schedule and not slack off. You can do it!

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)
