I was wondering if anybody on here would know if putting where i stand between credits from undergrad and graduate school should be on my resume… I’m looking to apply for jobs with the big four- i currenty have 4.5 years of private accounting experience but want to make the switch to public and the masters degree & cap would obviously help my credentials.

any help would be extremely appreciated.

You need to make some indication on your resume as to when you will be CPA elligible. I have never heard of a firm that will make you an offer until you meet all of the CPA requirements (less the experience). I don't think that necessarily means that you have to put how many hours you have on your resume but you you put something on it to tell readers when the 150 will be complete. Hope that helps.

I think its important to highlight your meeting the requirements for CPA licensing, especially when applying to public accounting firms and having been in industry for a while.

If you are working towards it maybe put in an highlight section “Pursuing additional education to meet the most recent CPA licensing requirements, estimated completion of XXXX”
