Advice please…supplemental MCQs

I’m currently using just Gleim to study for FAR. It’s a pretty thorough review and I feel like I am learning the material pretty well. The material is broken up into 20 study units, each study unit with around 100-250 MCQs. After watching videos and reviewing the text, I usually do pretty well on MCQs (in the 90%+ range).

My concern is that the MCQs are going to be worded/formatted similarly to how the material is presented in the text and videos whereas the FAR exam may not be. Also, my plan is once I make it through all the material I want to spend the last week or two before my exam busting out as many practice questions as possible. I’m worried that there aren’t enough MCQs to prevent me from seeing repeat questions.

Do you think it would be beneficial if I purchased some supplemental MCQs, like from Ninja or Wiley? If so, which ones would you recommend? I don’t want to spend the extra money if it won’t be that helpful or I won’t have enough time to go through many of them, but I want to make sure I’m prepared for the types of questions I will see on the actual exam.

Has anyone done something similar, or has anyone just used Gleim? How did it go?

I do hear Gleim is pretty hard. But I believe that NINJA mcqs were essential to my passing. ALSO, though doing a lot of MCQs help but how you use them effectively matters more. Are you answering each question to get through them or are you answering and thoroughly seeing why each answer is right or wrong? At that level, you know you're good with the material.

Also, do journal entries for each problem. You won't regret it. Practice SOME sims too!

    AUD - 83
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 83
    REG - 78
    BEC - 80 (Roger + NINJA MCQ + WTB)

    FAR - 72; 83 (Roger + NINJA MCQ)

    AUD - 83 (Roger + NINJA MCQ + WTB)

    REG - 52; 78 (Roger + NINJA MCQ)

    Ethics - 68, 96 (how I dislike you)

That's makes me feel better that you've heard Gleim is hard since I am doing pretty well on the questions. I do sims too – once I watch the videos and read the text, I do practice MCQs. Once I feel comfortable with those, I do a set of sims and usually do well on those too. That's good advice on the journal entries. I do that with some questions but I could definitely do it on more.

Did you feel like Ninja MCQs were representative of what was on the exam? Also, how's the tracking with Ninja to see how you're progressing, find your weak areas, etc.?

Does anyone else have some input? I don't want to spend $100+ on MCQs when I'll barely have time to go through many of them, or if what I'm doing now is preparing me just fine. I'm just a little anxious since this is my first section and I don't know what to expect.
