Guys,

I am in IA and taking ethics exam. I ordered online version and got the PDF text book. I found that there are 43 questions, not 40 questions in self study exam at the end of text book. Are the questions the same if I choose online test? I heard many people say you have 3 chances to pass the online test, but I cannot find any information about that in the material. What if I fail online test 3 times? Can I still submit paper test to AICPA? so confused…

Not from IA, but why don't you call the AICPA or your state board?

Thank you, Gabe. But I think IA board does nothing to this exam. It is not a State's ethics exam. It is AICPA's. Maybe I should call AICPA, but I won't expect clear answers from them. You know those customer representatives.

I read once if you fail 3 times you have to repay the fees and take again. That said, you won't fail. Just don't answer questions without finding the answer. There was only a couple questions I couldn't find the answer to, ended up with 3 wrong on 1st try. You won't fail 3 times.

Did you notice that there is a selfstudy exam at the end of the text book? I am wondering if it is the same as those online because I already finish the one in the book. I wrote answers on a paper.

I didn't go through every question but from what I could tell they were the same. When I'd search the online text for the answers, some of the vague question searches would take me to the questions in the exam you're talking about. Essentially, my searches brought up the exact question at the end of the text that I was looking for the answer to. Those were the ones I had to guess.
