AICPA Sample FAR Test – Spreadsheet Functionality

I tried using a PV formula similar to what you’d use in Excel. It didn’t work in the test spreadsheet. Does anyone know if it will work in the actual exam?

Cindy from Yaeger makes a point to practice and learn it for the exam. But if it doesn’t work what’s the point?

Weird that it doesn't work in the test spreadsheet. Are you just using Excel or did you download the sample exam from the AICPA website?

It will definitely work at Prometric, and if it doesn't you need to make sure you let NASBA know.

Cindy is very good – you should practice everything she tells you to!

If it looks like its not working widen the columns, the right answer should be there

The spreadsheet on the exam stinks.

I wrote Cindy at Yaeger and she wrote me back – Yes, widening the column fixed it. I'd never have thought of doing that. Definitely does not work like Excel.

Cindy is great, I really appreciate her. I've done well with Yaeger.

Does anyone know if the spreadsheet transfers from question to question? In other words, if I set up an amortization table on an early question, will it be there if I want to plug in numbers from another question later?

Is Cindy Yaeger the woman on the advertisement banners on this site? If that's the case then yes, Cindy definitely looks like she knows what she's talking about…I'd definitely do anything and everything she told me to 🙂
