all 4 in 10 weeks

I am graduating at the end of this month and will have 10 weeks off before I start my summer internship at a big 4 firm. When the internship ends I am jumping head first into a full-time graduate degree program. I initially planned to take 1 or 2 of the tests in the 10 week window, but have been recently plotting to go for all 4.

I want to make the most of my time off, and I am generally a good test taker. I work best under pressure, so I think this might be a good plan for me. I just wanted to get some other opinions on this plan. Is this crazy? Has anyone else done something similar? What would be the best way to divide up the 10 weeks for the tests?

Doable, yes. Definitely going to be a tall task. I would do 2 weeks for AUD and BEC and 3 weeks for FAR and REG. You'll have to go about 8-10 hours a day with very few days off. Do your 10 weeks off match up with the july/August testing window? If not, its going to be even tougher. Just wondering – why cant you study and take exams during your summer internship?

Becker has a 5-week review schedule. I would look at that to get an idea of how to allocate your time. Hopefully you're already approved by your state board because I think getting four Prometric testing appointments in one window would be the most difficult part.

I could not imagine doing all 4 in 10 weeks. Maybe it can be done but you definitely need to put in 8-10 hours a day.

    BEC - 5/20/11 83
    REG - 11/20/11 83
    FAR - 2/26/12 82
    AUD - 7/26 86
    Ethics 12/27/12 90

    Theoretically, it could be done.

Realistically, no one can study 10h per day for 10 weeks. Unfortunately, we are biological beings.

3 exams for 10 weeks is doable.

There was someone here who took and passed all 4 within 10 weeks time (haven't seen her around in ages) so its doable. But it can also be done while in school and working full time (which is how I did it)

@minimorty – There's no real reason I couldn't study during my internship, I just thought it would be nice to utilize my time off to the max, and not have to worry about studying and working full time. also, my goal would be to take them in April and May.

@drg1983 – I'm not already approved because I haven't graduated yet (two more weeks). I didn't realize it would be difficult to get the appointments. Why is that? High demand for appointments? Excuse my noobiness..

@adele – WOW!!!! I agree with Mini. It is doable with 8-10 hrs a day, 7 days a week. I would try to push 1 or 2 over into the summer internship but if not. I think it is doable!

@adele – since you havent graduated yet, its going to be really hard to apply, get approved, get your NTS, and schedule 4 tests. Since you clear;y want to give it a shot, I suggest you get all of your paperwork together and get it submitted as soon as possible. Do whatever you can to get an official transcript from your school to your state board. From there, just study as much as you can and fit as many exams as you can into April/May. It may be 4, it may be 3, it may be 2. What review materials are you using?

btw – You graduate in the middle of March? That sounds early. Where do you go to school? Will you have to wait until May for official transcripts or will they be released at the end of March?

don't want to be a downer but I wouldn't count on it for April and May. You graduate in 2 weeks, will need to wait a bit for your transcripts from the school, then mail them off to be approved to sit (you're looking at another few weeks for the first time application), get your NTS and try to schedule appointments at prometric in the upcoming 10 weeks?

Prometric is hard to get appointments at the last minute, remember they are the testing center for all professional licenses (plumbing, real estate, etc) as well as things like the GMAT and LSAT.

I don't know about your place, but from the time I sent the application to the time I got my NTS was only a week..

@mIa – I agree with everything except maybe the prometric scheduling. It really depends on where you live. In Southern California, I can get a prometric center appointment any day of the week at the last minute. There are 5-7 centers ranging from 10 minutes away to a few hours away. That being said if he/she is in a location with one test center in a 4 hour radius, then it might be harder.

@minimorty – I'm on a quarter schedule, so that's why I am finished so early. I should be able to get transcripts sent out relatively quickly (won't have to wait til may, hopefully by the end of march). I live in PA, the turnaround time for an NTS is supposedly 2 weeks here from what I've read…

Have not decided on review materials yet, but I'm definitely on a budget (not becker, certainly).

    Thanks for all the responses!

Haha, we've had like one bad earthquake in the last 15 years (Northridge). Funny how outsiders think we can die at any minute from earthquakes. In California, all we see on the news are tornadoes and hurricanes for everyone living in the midwest and south. We dont understand how people could live over there.
