Am I ready for AUD?

Primarily using NINJA MCQ’s and referring to notes for portions that I am consistently struggling on. At this point, I’m passing practice exams every time I take them.

My average score is 73%; my average trending score is 86.67%. I feel pretty confident; test is on 7/7. I’m just going to keep hammering away at MCQ’s until test day and hopefully the areas that I have struggled in will continue to shrink.

I’ve been working in audit – 4 years external, 1 year internal – for a while so I feel like that should help a lot. It has so far in the actual MCQ’s as I’ve done no real studying.

I used Becker primarily but sounds like youre good to go. I also have some (way less than you) audit experience and it helped a ton. I have a little governmental audit experience and that has been a megahelp as I'm studying for FAR. Good luck!

    AUD 5/28/15 - 98
    FAR 7/3/15 - 86
    BEC 7/20/15 - 89
    REG 8/24/15 - 85

Sounds like you're on the right track.

The biggest thing with AUD is to simply understand why the correct answer is, in fact, correct and why the wrong answers are not correct. So don't simply memorize answers but understand the concepts behind them.

Finally. Read the stupid question. One word will completely determine the correct answer in a lot of cases. So make sure you truly understand what the question is asking.

Definitely gotta read the questions — a lot of questions slip an “except for” or an absolute statement (always/never/etc)… easy to miss that when you're breezing through MCQ's. I've found that a lot of audit questions have multiple answers that sound good/right — so I always ask myself, “What's the *best* answer?”

I'm a little worried about SIM's since it appears that there is a lot of luck involved there and it's 40% of the grade but I'll cross my fingers. I've done pretty well on NINJA's SIM's.

I think the quote, as applied to me, is: “read the question, stupid”

Don't stress the SIMS. If you understand the material enough to do well on the MC, you will do well on the SIMS.

    FAR - 83
    AUD - 73 92
    BEC - 83
    REG - 88

You're on the right track. I used only NINJA MCQ and notes for 2 weeks before and trended 89. Actual was a 91. Harder exam questions are very tricky so it's important to read the question. It's not uncommon to throw your hands in the air with a WTF during the exam on the harder testlets.

I just took the AUD section, had difficult sims and a few mcq's that were tough.

I used Wily, got a 90 on the practice exam and trended in the high 80's, but I am not so confident because the sims were such a killer.
