I listed to Ninja Audio a lot. And, yeah, MCQ, MCQ, MCQ. I did 1300 MCQs total and all of the WTB sims.

I also printed out the main tax forms and looked at them for a couple of days before the test so I could visualize where the different calculations fell (such as pre-AGI vs. itemized deductions).

@kimboroni I listened to the Ninja audio for tax that Jeff so graciously sent out, but I am curious if you found it useful for the Business Law portion too since the sample did not include any of that? I know it's not a ton of money in the grand scheme of things, but I would be purchasing it primarily for the biz law and am just curious your opinion. Congrats on your REG score!!! 🙂

Hello People!!!! For those of you that used Becker Flashcards in your study regimen – what did you think? Were they helpful? I'm trying to find a different way to get all those tax rules cemented in my brain. I've been using Ninja flashcards (Ninja audio, Ninja notes with Yaeger videos, Wiley test bank) so far – and they've been more then awesome in helping me pass FAR, AUD, and BEC – I just feel I need a little push in memorizing the concepts and flashcards using the brainscape app has done it for me…. I'd appreciate any advice!!!!

Do you recommend the Ninja products? I am currently using Becker and am not succeeding in my goal of becoming a CPA. The material is so dense that I haven't found a way to learn or memorize all of the information!

I have the Becker flashcards, and they're a nice supplement to lectures and MCQ, but they're a little pricey for being just that, a supplement.

@swimgirl2005 – I def recommend Ninja – at least for BEC, AUD, and FAR – especially FAR. I have not used any of the Ninja MCQ or videos, or books, so I cannot comment on those specific items. But do I plan to use Ninja MCQs for REG. I think the notes, audio, and flashcards are a great supplement to any study material you choose to use. I loved Yaeger because Cindy is such a great teacher – specifically for FAR and BEC. I had a harder time going through the lectures for AUD and REG with Dr. Phil Yaeger and the other guy – it was just harder to follow them. I think I passed AUD in spite of the Yaeger lectures lol and well, we know how I did on REG.

Overall, I think the Ninja flashcards are what made it for me for my first three sections. Does that help?

@Nick – man at this point – I'd pay anything (well, I'm sure there's a limit lol) to get a strategy that will help me get done once and for all. So how are the flashcards laid out? Right now, I have access to my brother's Becker material – so I actually like the REG lectures and outline and book in there – more so than Yaeger's REG section. How are the becker flashcards laid out? Do they follow the outline / lectures? Do you feel like they focused on the rules you needed to memorize? Do you feel it helped you remember key points from the lecture?

I agree with @DOSMO, this time I actually focussed more on the blaw. In the past, I had mainly focussed on the tax since I had heard it was the most heavily tested, and barely reviewed the blaw since I heard it was about 20% of the exam. But I was just missing the passing score by a few points and realized that 20% could bump me up those few points!

I also agree with everyone else, keep pounding the multiple choice! Reg is a beast, but can be beaten! Good luck!
