I've used Yaeger for FAR and AUD and passed both times, so I have nothing but good things to say. I'm using it for REG right now and will be using it for BEC when the time comes.

As far as my study strategy, I watch the videos and work on the problems assigned in the handouts. I've also used the Wiley Test Bank, but sparingly.

I'm also using Yaeger. I just watch videos, then do assigned questions, then do Wiley test bank. Has worked so far except 1st time for audit (had to pack and move across state for job immediately before test and basically quit studying) and 1st time with REG-won't make excuses for REG, I just flat wasn't prepared. Going to take REG WAY more seriously this time and hopefully be done! I'd definitely recommend Yeager and that you basically just do whatever Phil tells you to do.

    FAR - 75
    AUD - 72; 87
    REG - 64; 74; 84
    BEC - 88

    Done!!

Haven't taken other courses, but my understanding is Yeager is more into teaching concepts than just reviewing what you need to know. Having gone to school not known for its accounting program, their approach has definitely helped me to have half a clue going into these tests!

I used it with FAR and the FAR CRAM. I only did what they said to do – nothing extra. I was really happy with it. Cindy is a killer instructor.

I'm using it now for AUD and pretty nervous. I should wrap it up this weekend but I don't feel too confident. It's probably just the material (there aren't any computations). I bought the CRAM for this section which I'll do next week, bought NINJA Audio/Flashcards, and will probably hit the WTB once I'm done with the CRAM. I'm also doing ALL the problems in the Wiley book which I didn't do with FAR. AUD can kiss it.

    FAR - 87 2/18/14
    AUD - 84 4/2/14
    REG - 87 7/23/14
    BEC - 78 8/26/14

I'm finally an *official* CPA - TX

I've used it with BEC & AUD and passed both. My advice, skip the AUD mcq's they do in the video lecture, and just do tons of Wiley MCQ's. (Time saving tip) It was mostly theory mcq's anyways.

For BEC, DO NOT skip the video MCQ's. They do a really good job of teaching and applying the computational information. I tried to skip those and focus on the Wiley mcq's, and realized I was in trouble. I had to go back and watch the videos some more, and that really helped me pass.

My current study process is pretty similar to the NINJA method, except I rewrite my notes into flashcards after each section so I can constantly review it during the duration of my study plan.

I had been out of school for a couple of years and wanted to go with Yaeger due to their ‘teaching' style. I supplemented my study with Ninja Combo.

Yaeger is sufficient to pass, but in my humble opinion, it really comes down to knowing the material in the Wiley books. Sometimes Yaeger videos were helpful, sometimes it was really just repeating the Wiley textbooks. I went through the videos once for each section, and went back over sections of the videos where I had trouble. I went back through videos for AUD ret-take at 2x speed, and I didn't go back through for REG re-take. I passed both re-takes.

    I hope that helps.

I use Yaeger and absolutely love it! Passed FAR, AUD & REG all on the first try and studying for BEC currently. For FAR I did what some of the others did and watched the lecture, did the homework and then did the WTB. The problem was that by the end I was forgetting a good bit of info. For AUD and REG and with BEC I have switched things up a bit. I use the Ninja method and watch all my lectures first while taking tons of notes. I pause before a question is answered and try it on my own before I hear the answer. I don't agree with skipping anything as someone else posted. There is reason things are covered during review. I wouldn't chance saving a few minutes here and there on not hearing a question that could have helped me answer something correctly on the exam. After all my lectures have been watched, I start from the 1st chapter and reread the parts that the instructor goes over, reread and handouts associated with that chapter, reread my notes, do the assigned MCQ (I also go over the questions already gone over in the lecture), and then do the WTB questions.

With that being said, I also use Ninja Notes, Audio and Flashcards to bring everything together (use this throughout the whole process). Jeff's material gives me a different perspective which helps me understand the material better.

It's definitely passable with Yaeger!! You can do it!!!

I am using Wiley. This is my second attempt at FAR so I am not looking at the videos as I felt they just read the book to me. My plan is re-reading the chapter, reading Ninja Notes, and listening to audio. I am using MCQ's to solidify my understanding by taking notes from what I miss and writing the concept in my own words.
