Hello,
I am studying for the FAR exam for the second time around. Pretty much life happened… I got a new job, my husband got a new job, we moved twice and now we are closing on our first home. This has put me through the ringer in addition to learning my new auditing job which requires some traveling. Simply put I did not pass the first time because I did not dedicate enough time to studying. Now we are closing on a house and need to move again.
I am pushing out my exam a little bit more because I want to pass. I am not sure how many people have gotten into my situation but my question is how do you suggest I study the second time around? Should I start over and listen to the lectures again and repeat all the homework and online test bank? Is there a more strategic way to approach this the second time around? The last time I felt I hadn’t dedicated enough time to governmental accounting so I started backwards and worked through it slowly to understand it better. Now I feel a bit lost and torn wondering if I should focus on another area that I felt was weak or simply start over.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Yvonne
