FAR glutton for punishment right here with you studying all weekend.

Won't hear the end of it from my friends but gotta knock this out in 2014 and move on with my life.

We just got to my parent's lake cabin and I'm set up at the kitchen table, going through financial management questions for BEC. So fun…

I'm here as well. Taking a quick break from FAR to look up calculators on Amazon lol.

I just put in fresh batteries in my TI-83 Plus from high school, but the screen is super dim (even at the highest setting) and I fear that it's on its last leg. Looks like I'm going to have to spring for another calculator. Maybe not a graphing one though.

Any recommendations, especially for when I get to BEC/REG?

    FAR - 78
    AUD - 85
BEC - 70, 83! Ninja note bump of 13 points!
    REG - 65, 70, 2016 Q1 retake before FAR expires 02/29/16

CPAexcel + Ninja Notes + Ninja MCQ = Success

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. And boy, I am HANGRY!

I'm actually in “review” mode now going through everything again. Using CPAExcel and working my way through receivables now. I would have scheduled my exam to have about 2 weeks of review but I'm going to be traveling for work starting the week after next. So, I'll take it right when I return.

There's definitely areas I feel very comfortable with and some I am terrified of. As a rule to myself and how I know my brain functions, I always shut it down around 11:30-midnight. After that time I'm not absorbing anything and it's pointless.

After I get through all sections again I have Gleim TB to supplement with MCQs. I think the best way to think of FAR is best stated by many “an inch deep and a mile wide.”

@AOCI — you did it right knocking out the 2 big boys first which is what I'm trying to do with FAR after beating REG. None of these sections are easy, but I've gotten the feeling AUD & BEC will be much less cumbersome and time consuming than REG & FAR.

Hello~ I'm studying for FAR now. Taking it in 3 weeks with Yaeger. This is my first part of the CPA exam ever! Sooo terrified…I haven't even touched WTB yet. How have you guys been using test banks? Do you do test bank questions after each chapter or save them for final review? So far I've just been going over the problems covered in the lectures and assigned hw problems.

    7/14 FAR ☑
    8/14 AUD ☑
    10/14 REG ☑
    1/15 BEC

    Yaeger user here.

Do all the suggested questions in the handout first and do test bank for every chapter. During the review just to test bank mcq.

If you feel like you need more practice, also get the Ninja mcq.

    REG-82 Again!
    BEC-78!

I've been told I'm “un-American” for planning to study all weekend.

I'm engaging in the utterly unproductive pastime of checking my answers. I just got out of FAR. It's my lat exam so no more studying 🙁

On the plus side I just found out I got 100% (assuming I remember it all right, but at least I know I got the concepts 100%) of one sim I was totally unsure on! It has like ONE HALF OF A PAGE in Becker but my SIM had 5 Journal entries on it 🙁

My reg exam is on Saturday. I took a day off today woke up at 11am and started hammering MCQ's. I just got done now and its 12:15 am.

I did about 400MCQ's but i read every explanation. I also took a few 1-2 hr breaks too.

    REG-77
BEC -Waiting on score May 5th
    AUD - May 30
FAR - Q3 depending on if i pass above two in Q2

I have it on Wednesday. Today I took my first simulated exam this morning and got 88%. Felt pretty good about that, still don't feel anywhere near ready though because I'm dumb. Have done about 150 MCQs throughout the day, too. I'll probably end up doing about the same number throughout the weekend and week up to Wednesday.

I don't really know what else to do at this point…I feel like I know most major topics, I'm just terrified of getting a bunch of little facts I never fully memorized thrown at me. I do need to review pensions more. I understand the basics pretty well but I couldn't tell you what corridor amortization is. Probably because NO wiley test bank MCQs ask about it AT ALL. Which I found really strange. I'm hoping that's just one of those “this is too much depth” kind of questions and is rarely asked, but I have a feeling that isn't quite true…and it's going to ruin me in any sims if I don't go over it.

One thing I am very confident about is NFP and governmental. I don't see why everyone makes a big deal out of them? They seem like the easiest sections by a long shot…

Oh, and I need to go over my notes. I took 87 pages, front and back, tiny and sloppily written notes. I want to read like, at least 3 or 4 pages. I feel like I should summarize those notes. Condense 87 pages into 2. I don't think that's possible.
