I know Becker scores are typically 10-15% lower than the actual exam for most people, but I am curious if it has ever goes the other way.

I took my first Becker practice exam and scored an 86% on MC (which should’ve been a 92% but I wanted to see how fast I could finish it and misread about 4 problems).. anyone ever do this well and still fail?

I guess I am curious whether I should be confident in this exam or if I should still be terrified like always!

    Thanks!

I'm sure people have done so if they then bombed the SIMs, but I would say that getting an 86% on the MC of the practice exam looks like a pretty good indication for the real thing! 🙂

I think I only read about one person doing well on their review courses and bombing the real thing. Although I believe it stemmed from the person's massive exam anxiety. Like Lilla said, you'll do great!

I scored mid 80s on my practice finals for REG in Becker and failed for my 2nd attempt .. but I think it was just the luck of the draw for questions on the actual exam.. My SIMs were beyond brutal and FAR based (I haven't taken FAR yet, REG was my first) and the multiple choice were 90% stuff that Becker said to skip over..

I have never heard of anyone having a test like I did for my second attempt… so I think you'll be fine 🙂

@saemandr – I hope i don't have a similar experience to you. I am taking REG as well. REG sims are typically brutal IMO. I guess I will still study as much as possible despite the positive comments the others left.

OlintoJr., I am also taking REG on November 30th. Personally, just judging from Becker, the SIMS on REG seem to be easier than the ones on FAR. Of course, I didn't even do the SIMS on the vast majority of the FAR exam, which bit me in the behind and caused me to fail FAR with a 73 (left two “long” SIMS completely blank and another two I just randomly guessed).

I'm hoping with REG, actually taking time to practice SIMS will help me do a little better on them when I take the exam. But a lot of it truly seems to be luck of the draw. Let's cross our fingers our SIMS are not too bad! (and this time around, I'll be sure to at least put 0's or something in the blanks rather than leave any SIM completely blank). There's 6 SIMS on REG. If I can just feel really good about 3-4 of them, I think I'll be in good shape (assuming the MC aren't horrendous).

    AUD - 85 (8/30/2015)
    FAR - 73 (10/13/2015), 85 (2/29/2016) (AND DONE!)
    BEC - 83 (11/04/2015)
    REG - 81 (11/30/2015)
