    oh man, I’m just going through Becker’s Video lecture and HW, why do I feel these stuffs are 10 times harder all other sections? And I think the other three sections are hard, but FAR is on a different level!!

    Usually I would do the HW right after watching the videos and would get around 50 to 60% correct, but for FAR I’m getting like 30 to 40%. Also, feel like the lecture and answers aren’t really helping…..

    I’m still on chapter 6, but already feel like it’s impossible to pass this…….

    anyone feels or felt the same? how did you improve?? please help…..

    everyone feels that way. if i were you, i'd focus most on gov-nfp, bonds, leases, and stuff from F2. i would also know IFRS really well.
    i say you should have gotten FAR out of the way first.
    of all the exams you studied for and took, which were the easiest?

    What was your study plan and how many weeks did you need before you took FAR? Whats a good number of weeks? I heard 3 -4 if you not working. then I hear 6-8 if you work full time, kids, etc.

    I'm studying FAR using Becker and it is not an easy task. I understand almost all of the material, but it is taking me a lot of time. I agree with “Quality over Quantity” if you have TIME. Don't just breeze through MCQ's – understand why you answered incorrectly. Also, drawing diagrams has helped me a lot too. I went from averaging around 60% for MCQ's to between 72-85% now that I have slowed down to actually Learn. Goodluck

    I think Reg is easily the worst, BEC and FAR are neck and neck. FAR gets the edge because of sims (for now). AUD sucked too, but there wasnt much math.

    Studying for FAR now, its not fun at all. There are way too many topics some large, some small, many mediums.

    I watch the lectures and then read the chapters. Then I do homework.

    BEC = 80 6/01/16
    REG = 07/26/16

    FAR is really a monster in that there is so much information to know, I am taking the FAR exam in November and AUD in October and feel so much better with AUD than FAR and I have always done well with financial! ugh……. I feel overwhelmed as well, but just take one section at a time and keep to my schedule, try not to think about all the other sections left to do…..

    The phrase “mile wide, inch deep” is soooo true for FAR. I spent so much time on things and to me, the MCQ didn't go in as much depth. The SIMS, on the other hand, were a nightmare. My advice is to REALLY REALLY understand J/Es. I admit I did poorly on focusing on them, the basic foundation for accounting. I almost failed because of it.

    It ALL comes together…. try to understand the WHY of everything. Also, it is terribly tedious but make a journal entry for everything, especially when you try to do problems. By the time you're REVIEWING far, you crunch out journal entries like nothing. If it's hard in the beginning, use t-accounts.

    i agree with the last post, do journal entries for EVERYTHING to help understand, it helps with the SIMS tremendously.

    that link will show you all journal entry examples. I memorized most for my test.

    There have been nights where i had legit meltdowns and i have cried due to feeling way over my head during far studying just keep going…never thought i could pass far at all and i remember having a talk with my mom saying this is killing me i can't do this….she told me she would love me pass or fail and that i at least tried…..with 4 days of final review and the overwhelmed feeling not going away until i received a score..

    Of a 76. Somehow passed the first time.

    Dont let your mind make u doubt yourself

    I never thought i would ever pass far the first time. Just go through the lectures, take good notes and go through the homework and try your hardest. Good luck

    I am on F8 of the Becker review. From what I had read online F8 and F9 were supposed to be the easiest but I am finding them harder than any other section of FAR. I have been studying F8 since three days and still haven't gotten through it. My exam is on the 30th of August and i still have F9, F10 and F1(which i left for the end because i thought it would be easy) to go. I haven't been reviewing regularly so i also need to review all the other sections before the exam. I dont know how i am going to get through this. Does anyone have any suggestions?
