Out of curiosity has anyone ever heard of/known someone who tried to cheat on the CPA exam? To clarify I am not trying to find a way it could be done. Just want to know if anyone has any good stories to share about someone getting caught lol.

Just a couple of thoughts I tried to remember as I went through the journey of passing the CPA exams:
Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

I was thinking about this yesterday when I was there. I wanted to ask but I decided against it. Most of the Prometrics staff are lacking in personality. The guy that set me up yesterday seemed pretty nice. I cracked a joke about hoping I never see the place again and he smiled. Lol. I decided to stop there and not inquire about cheating incidences. I have ideas on how it could be done, but would never do it. It isn't worth the risk. And I have ethics.

I've heard of someone who started writing down things they memorized on the scrap paper as soon as they sat down. They had to forfeit the exam simply because he had not entered in the launch code and gotten to the part of the actual exam… So just thought I'd share. I mean, I think it's written in the rules or something? I can't recall…

The staff at my center told me about a guy that would get paid $1,000 to take tests for people. The fingerprint system was how he got caught.

Tablet with the full Becker Review on it placed in the restroom before starting the exam. Excessive mid-exam bathroom breaks are flagged for a reason!

^^Kettlepot, that was my thought, you stash something in the bathroom, but still, that is a huge risk and for what? You still don't know what is coming at you next and your bathroom “break” is cutting in to your time. The more I think about it, the more I think you'd have to be an idiot to do that.

I have never cheated nor would I. Still, I imagine there is a way to jam the detector wand that they wave over you. I think hi tech radio would be the best option. Probably be cheaper just to study…

I remember there was some story about some dude who had a hearing aid or glasses or something. He would get answers from someone outside. Anyways he got caught and was banned from taking the exam for 2 years

This Super Bowl is like a presidential election. I find myself trying to chose the lessor of two evils when determining who to cheer for. I'm going to have to place some bets in order to make it worth watching.
