Anyone with experience regarding KPMG's hiring timeline?

I recently (week before last) accepted a full-time audit associate offer with KPMG for next fall. I used their online system to accept the offer and received an automated confirmation email. That’s really all the communication I have since being extended the offer. I know there’s a ton of time between now and then, but I’m wondering when and what kind of communications have been received by other people who received offers like this. Should I expect that I won’t hear much from them until sometime next year? I don’t want to wind up being the really annoying guy who won’t leave them alone, but I’d like thee peace of mind that comes with hearing back from a real human being at some point.

They'll communicate with you probably 1-3 months before your start date with info. on your first day, first week expectations, etc. Other than this, you may receive invitations to happy hours, networking events, etc. that they may hold in the city you've been hired in or your school (if you're still attending).

Other than that, enjoy your freedom while it lasts, and don't reach out to them unless you have some important questions (CPA Course reviews prior to being employed, etc) as they are busy people. You've got the job, so you've got nothing to worry about now.

About a month or two before training, you will get e-mails telling you to book flight. Hotel is already booked for you and you will have a roommate. Believe new hires are in Philly and Interns are in Orlando for Winter.

Moral of the story, don't do your CPA while working in Big 4 Public Accounting.

Thanks for the info. It's just a little disconcerting not having physically signed anything like I have with just about every other job I've taken before. I've only reached out to them by phone and an email to the recruiter to let them know I accepted the offer. Guess I'll just kick back until I hear back from them.

If you accepted the offer online, that is tantamount to physically signing it. If you have only verbally accepted or accepted through e-mail, then it is a different story.

I wrote “only” instead of “also” in my last post. I've definitely accepted online. I also contacted them via phone and email (the offer letter said to tell the partner and recruiter) just to be sure. Didn't mean to send mixed signals.
