I believe Chuck Lidell (UFC fighter) was an accountant before he became a professional fighter. Not sure if he was a CPA or not though.

Found a link: https://cpatrendlines.com/2010/11/08/fun-facts-12-accountant-celebrities/ Not quite sure that all the celebs on this list were CPAs or equivalent, but they worked in accounting before

    CPA license in progress....

Sherron Watkins (CPA) was the woman who blew the whistle on Enron. This made her sorta famous–and very wealthy.

(But my real hero inside Enron will always be Andy Fastow, the CFO. That man was *creative.*)

John Legend used to work at KPMG…

@DC – You were right about Chuck Liddell – accountant but not a CPA. It's old, but I just found this: https://upstart.bizjournals.com/views/columns/the-windup/2008/04/04/The-Accounting-Ultimate-Fighter.html?page=all

Chris Moneymaker, winner of the 2003 world series of poker sat for the CPA 2 weeks before he won $2.5 million. I don't think he passed as I can't find any reference to that. LOL

Moneymaker sat for the CPA?? Wow. I'm sure his poker playing leading up to the world series took all his time away from studying., haha.
