Hi all,
I'm planning to take AUD sometime in April. I just took REG today, so haven't started my AUD studies yet. I'm waiting until I get started to determine when I want to take the exam. Work is crazy busy right now ......
I'm using Becker home study and Final Review.

Taking AUD on April 3rd and using Becker. Half-way through the 3rd lecture now and planning on finishing up lectures by Friday since its Spring Break (there are 5). Will have 2 weeks to review before I sit. I wish it wasn't soo much straight memorization. It seems like reading the explanation of the answers is helpful in learning the material.

Christian 2823....you and I are in the same boat only one month apart. I'm taking FAR on 5/1 and then AUD on 5/31.
I probably won't even drink after the FAR exam as I'll need Sunday 5/2 to kick off studying for AUD. Oh joy!

Hi Everyone:
I'm taking AUD on 04/03.(My third Time). I'm currently finishing with the Evidence portion and hopefully will be done with Reports by Sunday. Then I have two weeks for review and pray to the ALL MIGHTY GODS to PASSSS..!!!! I'm using the Wiley Book for Review Materials and Gleim Softaware for M/C... So far I've done 1,800 questions..!!!!
If anyone has suggestions for the final review, let me know. I really appreciated...

I also have the Wiley book and Gleim. However, reading the Wiley book and doing questions in Gleim are an inefficient way to learn. Where are the lectures? If something does not work, try something else. The most efficient way to learn is to listen and then do multiple choice questions.
If I did not pass AUD, and I expect that I did not pass, I will be looking for another review course too! The AICPA exam killed me on Reports in the last exam. I am now studying Audit Reports with Roger and Becker. I am also taking extensive notes. My next step is to work Gleim Online and Gleim Test Prep. I want to nail Reports if I have to retake the AUD exam.

Becker for AUD worked great for me (94). I only saw 3 or 4 questions that weren't covered in my materials. For those studying for this section I would recommend doing as many MC questions as you can get your hands on. Don't just look for the correct answers when doing them. When you read the problem try and identify what the topic they are asking about is and what you know of it before looking at the answers. Don't just find the correct answer, but also why the incorrect answers are incorrect (and what would have to change to make them correct). With the Becker questions, I did all the questions 4-5 times (including supplemental questions). Many of the exam questions could have been a copy/paste out of the homework on the actual exam.

I originally was planning on taking AUD May 25, but am getting sent to Germany for work the two weeks before that. I changed my test date to May 7th now. Do you think I will still be in wave 2, or will that possibly bump me up to wave 1? I'm not sure I'll be able to make the over a month and a half waiting for a score!

Thanks, Jeff for assuring me that I was ok with 2009 Yaegar material for FAR and that I had to practice more, since I did clear on my second attempt scored a 77. Also, I want to add that Cindy and Phil have been very helpful at explaining the concepts in FAR.
Also, as of now trying to study for AUD , it is quite difficult to stay focused with the kind of material there is. If anyone is using Yaegar 2009, any help or advice would help.

I came to say "HI" because I failed AUD (just found out today) with a 65 (on my fourth attempt). I don't have a game plan yet, but I am thinking April, and REG in May.

i failed audit again with a 68..dont know what else i coul ddo..losing hope!!! also failed BEC..have to take them both end of may and wont have time to even study until april 16th...anyone have a rope so i can hang myself??!

I suffer from the AUDIT DISORDER SYNDROME......You know you have this disorder when you fail AUD at least 2x 70;69 and you have no idea how and why?????
I'm am switching my review course from Yaeger Home Study to Gleim....I saw Gleim's Demo and I really like what I saw!
AUD is my last section and I hope to sit for this exam by the end of April or first week in May
Yaeger Home Study was awesome for BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, Not for AUD=70,69 (I have AUD disorder)

Let me offer some advice, if I can. Do the hw mc questions ATLEAST 4-5 times (and until you get 90s). I CANNOT express how much I truly believe they are KEY to passing AUD. Also, do the supplementals, but I waited til closer to test day. By then, you should be able to tackle them with limited difficulty. KNOW the reports.
I used Becker and found i recognized 90-95% of the mc questions on the exam.
Study hard and know you will be a CPA, hell or high water ;)

anushka.....thanks for the words...a friend of mine sent me all the becker materials, text books and passmaster questions in pdf format..i printed them and made binders...i previously used yaeger and wiley books..im thinking a switch to different material and questions will hopefully give me that extra to score an extra 7 points higher next time around....i also am doing the same for BEC..switching from yaeger and wiley to the becker review book also...hope it helps..!

SoAnxious and ihatestudying- lets stick it through together. I also failed this last time around (70) along with failing REG (63) for my second time around. It is painful but I think we can all get through it. Next time around when we are all waiting on scores lets hope they are positive for us!

im just stressed out cause i have only passed reg..and it expires after august....no way im gonna pass bec, aud, and far by the end of august.....in losing my mind now

only problem with audit in april is i work like 75 hour weeks righrt now..get home around 11 pm every night and work saturdays...so my study time until after april 15th is so minimal...this is what has me worried....what do you think...i was thinking about taking bec may 15th and audit the end of may..trying to study both simultaneously but concentrating a little more on BEC until after i take it, then spend the next 2 weeks cracked down on audit..?? does this sound possible, doable or not a good plan?

Don't kill yourself to make it happen by AUG.....
You already passed REG once, you can do it again!
If I were you, I would start studying FAR since it's the longest and toughest; once you have FAR under your belt you can tackle the other exams since they are not as intensive you can work them easier into your schedule.
It took me 2 1/2 months to pass FAR and I used my 3 weeks vacations and full time every weekend....
You surely have more knowledge this year than last year, postpone AUD and BEC until you pass FAR, REG you can do again ....

I think you need to take which ever section you feel most confident in next since you have limited study time. AUD and BEC have the least amount of chapters. But FAR is difficult and may require two windows. I believe you can do whatever you put your mind to. So site down and make a plan. Attack the material and stay focused on the prize. Don't think about losing REG now because it hasn't happened. YOU CAN DO IT :)

I am taking my Audit exam in april 1st week, I found Beckers 1st and 2nd exams simulations very tough. Just want to know how was others experience while solving those sims. I would really appreciate if any 1 can help me in giving some last min tips in sims.

I know how you guys feel. I failed BEC my first time around and now I am going to try to work with Ihatestudying and study together to try to pass it in mid-may. I took a week off to do nothing but review for Audit and it ended up getting snowed out. I have one week left before I take it for the first time and have not been able to practice simulations at all as I dont have the cds.
If anyone has any advice on what to do in order to practice simulations I would greatly appreciate it.
