Yeah for real Jeff! Seems like everyone is taking FAR this window! Give some love to AUD too! AUD has been my favorite test so far, eventhough I failed first try lol.
(jenuno01)ill post on here thursday evening
I am hoping for a positive testing experience this coming friday the 20th!
Monday night post coming...
(lessieallen)Never sit for the exam in April. One month wait = stress/anxiety. Nothing can prepare you for the sims. Research tab is your best friend..I spent nearly 2 hrs during SIMS skimming through research. Hopefully, it was worth it. Can't wait for the results!
Just got back from my audit exam. I found the test to be very straight forward for the most part. I used Becker, and Wiley as a supplement. I marked 13 questions that I wasnt positive on, and there was one simulation I wasnt sure on. With that said I'm hoping for a passing score come May 4th!
Great news, it sounds like you did well, especially if there was only 1 SIM you weren't positive on. How did the questions compare to Becker? Also, what were your final exam scores on Becker if you took them. Thank you!
@entourage for final exam 2 I got 86/93/96 on the three sets of MC, I didnt do the sims on this one
For final exam 1 I got a 89 on it.
I thought the Becker questions prepared me for the test nicely. There were only a few, prob the one I marked, that I was unfamiliar with.
greenli2, sounds like you got a 99.
i hope so and I would be shocked if it turns out I didnt pass..i pushed the test back two weeks because I was overwhelmed with the material and had trouble grasping it, so hopefully this extra time paid off...
(CPAdamcy14)Took AUD today.
MCQs-flagged about 15 or less. With that said, most of the MCQs came straight out of the review materials I used and the others were doable except for like maybe 4 that I had no idea. Finished them in about 1:10 minutes.
SIMS-got 2 research SIMS which I found very quickly and rechecked them like two times.
-3 of the other SIMS I was able to find in the literature even one which I thought would kill me and 2 of them I knew like 50-75%, but I'm not sure. I spent like 2:30 hours with the SIMS...lol...
I really think that the SIMS from CPAReviewForFree helped me a lot not in that they were the same thing, but they teach how to pay attention to those words that you may just not see at first.
I will not make a prediction because you never know with this thing as I was able to see it myself last window, but I can say that there is hope for me at least. I did my best, gave it all until my brain could not take anymore. BTW I would like to take the time to thank my brain for all these years that it has served me. Thank you brain...Good luck to everyone.... BEC awaits for me...:)
I took AUD last Thursday and feel pretty good about it. The MCQs were pretty similar to what I had been seeing. I think I marked around 15 through all three testlets for review. I tried to keep each MCQ testlet to around 30 minutes. The time strategy worked well for me. I was able to take a short break before the SIMS and still come back with about 2 hours and 20 minutes left. I felt confident in most of the SIMS, although there was one that I am hoping was pretest!! Let's just say I learned a LOT about that particular topic from the authoritative literature. My brain was fried after going through the SIMS and double checking everything, so even though I still had a little over 30 minutes left, I figured there wasn't much more I could do and finished. All in all, I feel like I did well enough to pass but since this is my first, we will find out (hopefully) May 4th. In the meantime, it is on to FAR!!
Test Date: April 17th at 8AM
1st Testlet: Cake walk, marked 3
2nd Testlet: more difficult, marked 5
3rd Testlet: Reverted back to cake walk, marked 3
Went into SIMS with 2.5 hours.
SIMS: Two with calculations, the others were OK, completed one directly from AL (had an hour 15 left to review all tabs but got hung up on research).
Research: I am usually great with research, 15 minutes tops. I spent my review hour trying to find this vague topic. Hope it was pretest...didn't get a second run through of my other tabs. But if the research wasn't pretest, I wanted to make sure I gave it a fighting chance.
I know I missed one of the MCQ that I second-guessed. DOY! Hope it's enough for 75. On to BEC!
@CPATerminator CPAReviewForFree has SIMS? Am i just not looking in the right area? Could you direct me to it. thanks
@KassiusKlay. Pay close attention; otherwise you'll end up in the wrong site...
1. Go to http://cpareviewforfree.com/
2. Click on "store"-upper right hand side of the screen
3. Scroll down until you see "sims and written communication" in big green letters.
4. Select the sections you need
5. Pay $9.99
6. Study the SIMS
7. Pass the CPA Exam
8. Get a hot girl
9. Get a BMW
10. Make tons of money
However, you need to register before doing all this..
@CPATerminator YES! thanks for the help Cheers!
Good reviews
Just got out of the test.
Testlet 1 - Pretty straightforward, marked 3-4 conservatively
Testlet 2 - Definitely harder, marked 5 or so
Testlet 3 - Still harder than the first, marked around 5
The SIMS weren't as bad as I thought they would be. I left myself 2 hrs 45 mins for the SIMS so that's more than enough time. At first glance they seemed hard but the more I worked with them, the more I was able to fill in some answers. A couple were foreign to me and I made good use of the research literature. The research question was a tiny bit difficult but I'm pretty sure I found it ok. I'm hoping that I did enough to put me in a good position to pass.
Yo entourage i just got out like an hour ago.
Same experience as you, except the sims were super easy for some reason. That was my last exam (hopefully) so now time to get drunk
@CPATerminator. dude SAME EXACT thing. I just got out of Audit. Two research tabs. One tab was word for word from the AL tab. Two others I took info from AL Tab. Marked prob 15-17 for all three sections. No idea how I did. And we wait...
Welcome to the wait guys. I have been here a week...waiting. It sucks!!! Go on over to the score release forum and join the countdown!! haha
First testlet seemed easier than the second and third. Flagged 3, 4, and 6. Some of the sims were way different from ones I practiced, but I think I did okay on those too. Fingers crossed! Still waiting on my BEC too.
Even more fun on the way home - my car broke down! Glad that didn't happen on the way there... Not my favorite day :)
Took Audit friday the 20th.. it was ok.. knew some answers, didnt know some answers... kinda normal. I think the SIMS went way better on this one because I actually used the search function. there was one that I got that was way out of left field.. so much so that I hadnt seen it at any point in studying... so hopefully, that was a tester sim?
oh well, all I need is a 75 and I am finished with this exam forever. if not, I gotta pass FAR again... please let it be a 75!
@Smbundy13
hope you will be done after getting the score. usually it's the SIMS that screwed people up. if you are ok with it, you should be fine. good luck!!
Thanks HappyA... I hope i am finished as well. been at this since 07...
There have been several different answers to this same question. Can some clairify how many points is the research simulation and is partial credit given. There are three boxes to fill in when you input the answer. Is each box worth 1/3 of the credit? This would make sense to me if it were worth more to have partial credit. If it is only worth one point then partial credit would not apply. Someone please help.
Just took AUD. Pleaseeeeeeeee pleeeeeeease give me a 75! The exam really wasn't as terrible as last time. I actually left with 30 minutes to spare. Last time I had to use every ounce of time. I had 2 research, and nailed them both. Testlet 2 and 3 were definitely more difficult and wordier, but they weren't fooling this girl. SIMs really weren't terrible. One was a repeat from my last exam, and I remember bombing it on my last exam. Just praying for a 75---which would mean I will FINALLY be done with this journey. We'll see. Didn't leave crying so that's a good sign
Thanks for the update Peanut!! Sounds like someone is done taking CPA exams! All the Peanutliebiers on A71 are routing for you!
