Now you all are really making me nervous because it just seemed too easy to me - looking at my FAR and REG score, you can see I am no prodigy. I think I am intelligent, but I am no accounting God!
I am undecided if FAR or REG was worse. I am leaning towards REG.

Atrus- I firmly believe that your scores on the other parts don't really have anything to do with how well you will do on a particular subject (I passed BEC with an 80, REG with a 79, and FAR with an 80--can't pass audit). FAR was the hardest to study for, easiest to take, in my opinion. I do tax, so I thought REG was easy. It's really easy with Audit to get comfortable with the questions, but unless you really know the WHY behind the right answers, it will be a challenge to take. I'm hoping third time is the charm for me.

almost_there...I concur with blondeaccountant....which is know everything...sorry i couldnt be more help...But like you even said you should know why the answer is right/wrong....I supplemented my Becker study with the Gleim Test Prep CD...really good stuff for $55 ..the key is practicing MCQ and once youve memorized becker or whoevers MCQ they are kinda useless at least for me....the Gleim CD gives you more practice and analyzes your weak/best parts... By the end of it all I mustve done 3000 MCQ as practice (5000 for FAR) so this formula worked for me once before hopefully again....but once again...every topic was tested but I cant recall which one was more so.

After reading all these post's i am getting worried abt audit exam which is on this friday. All things are getting mixed up. I passed rest 3 exam with all score in 80"s, but finding audit difficult of all. Anyways, thank u every 1 for sharing their experiance abt audit exam which u just gave. good luck to all and thanks for sharing the story!!!

I am Planning to appear for Audit in last week of Feb. Please any one can provide me information on how to prepare for the exam. I have becker Review material but my pass master have experied. Can any one suggest how to practice the MCQ's. Is the weily's MCQ a good option in combination with becker book. What is the price of Weily Audit Review materials.

I am taking AUD on saturday, after failing in November with a 74. I am starting to feel pretty confident this time around, but I am worried that I am simply recognizing or memorizing the questions. An area of particular concern is planning, as all of my experience is in tax. Is there any advice anyone can offer? This is my final exam, and I am hoping not to take this exam a third time (for obvious reasons). Thanks and good luck to all!

Please can anyone provide the types of study materials published by wiley and its price. Is Wiley Review material and WileyTest bank seperate and has to be bought seperately.

Those of you who are using Yaeger to study, are you reading the whole audit Wiley book? Do you think it's worth it? I'm thinking about doing it. If you did how long did it take? IMO Gary's lectures are ok but a bit all over the place so I think I need a better wrap-up and I don't want to buy the cram ( because I'm not a fan of Gary) so I'm thinking of reading the whole thing. Any feedbdack would be great!

will it ever end, if you are not spending two minutes on most AUD questions then two things could be happening. you are continuing to get medium hard testlets or you are not reading the questions enough. AUD questions should be where you can get down to two correct questions. it is deciding which one is the more correct answer. if you have three medium hard testlets that you can fly through then that is not a good sign. I took AUD three times before i passed. the first time, i motored through and left with an hour to go. I got a 66 for my troubles. When i finally passed with an 80, i took every minute. no subjects i didnt know but 1/2 questions i had to debate in my mind because the answers were so close.

I took audit exam today. But does not feel good abt it. 1st testlet was hard, 2nd and 3rd testlet were relatively easy. 2 simulations were OK. I don't know wat do i expect. I found some questions too easy and some questions were difficult, where it seems every answer is correct. Tough part of the exam was duration. Its darn long exam and in addition u have to think too much for audit. I feel this section to be tough of all 4 sections.

I have a question about the research tab in simulation. Let's say my communication question in final exam is a compilation report. Will I be able to find it in the research tab? I tried with becker but it says wrong path. Do I see a wrong path sign in final exam when I find the right info like becker?

You should definitely be familiar with the basic ratios. I am studying for AUD with Becker, and one simulation tab was all ratios. However, on the resources, tab, they provided all the calculations for the ratios! I can't imagine the CPA exam will be that nice - but be sure to check out this tab when you get there.

wrong path is only a becker thing. the actual research tab will take you down a path. might not be a correct path but a path one way or the other. that is why you need time. but AUD gives you time more then any other part.

I am taking AUD on wed. I feel fairly comfortable with the whole test except for Becker chapter 4 information. It consists of Transactions cycles, Audit documentation, Audit evidence, evidential procedures for selected accounts, Audit evidence: misc items.
I am buggin out here a bit!
I was wondering if someone can provide me with some insight on how important and heavily tested these items are.
And maybe some advice on how to go about it if I only have two days left till the test!

Only hours post test, and I'm already starting to think about checking my exam score :) I am a little worried my testlets didn't get any harder (or at least as far as I could tell). I did get a simulation that I had before, so I wasn't as freaked out by it. All in all, I'm hoping for a 75!!

Almost_there - I'm with you! I sat on Monday and I'm counting the days till the score release! I actually got virtually the same written communications question on both simulations. Very weird - I've never heard of that happening before.

I used the Gleim Test Prep Questions for all four sections of the exam and was very satisfied. I feel that Gleim offers excellent answer explanations. They also have a diagnostic tool that keeps track of the questions you got right or wrong, which will help you identify your weak areas. And at $55 a section it is a really good deal.
