AUD Expired – Retake Question

So my AUD expired and I already got my new NTS. When I first took AUD I studied for 6 weeks and got a 92. For my how long do you think I should study?

The two dates I was looking at were:

    10/26 (2 weeks studying)

    11/2 (3 weeks studying)

Do you think 2 weeks will be enough? Not to mention I am taking FAR on November 30th. So by trying to pass AUD in 2 weeks, rather than 3, I could have an extra week of FAR studying.

OR is it just better to study for FAR for 7 weeks and take it on 11/30?

    Thoughts?

I wouldn't count on 2 or 3 weeks for AUD. Even though you did so well on it the first time you studied 6 weeks. Personally I'd study 5 weeks for a retake.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84

Since you did so well, I think you could probably swing it in 4 weeks if you really crack down, but 2 or 3 probably isn't realistic, IMO. Good luck.

Ok I definitely like that honesty. I am more confident I can pass in 4 weeks. So i might schedule in 11/9 then. However, there would be no possible way I can take FAR on 11/30, working full-time.

Do you guys think it would be better to skip AUD until after busy season and take FAR on 11/30? or take AUD on 11/9 instead?

Why not focus on FAR and take AUD in January?

Do you think 7 full weeks is enough for FAR?

I suppose I could study AUD in January and February, though I am on a busy client where last year we got out anywhere from 12-2am each day. I do have an hour commute to work though, which will allow me to study for AUD at least an hour a day and more on the weekends. I then have 2 full weeks with a 9-5 schedule where I can really drill down on MCQ.

I plan to start studying on Monday and I am panicking!

Rocky's idea sounds like a good plan to me. That gives you 7 weeks, which I think is a good minimum for FAR for someone who works full time.

Then take in AUD in January. Good advice from the others on increasing your prep time for that– if your score expired, that means you took it roughly a year and a half ago, which is a long time, so just assume that you've forgotten everything from the first time and start from scratch.

Yes, I did FAR in about 6 weeks while working f/t and in school at night. Its most definitely possible so long as you're very focused.

Thanks guys! So i won't schedule AUD and I already had FAR scheduled for the 30th.

Hopefully I can do FAR in 7 weeks.

Can anybody recommend a review course for FAR? Price is not a concern I just want what would help me pass the most, in your opinions!

I used Becker supplemented with Ninja notes and also the Ninja audio. 7 weeks is more than enough time. Be confident!

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 80
    REG - 86
    FAR - 83

I really liked Wiley combined with Ninja for FAR.

A lot of this really just depends on your learning style. From what I understand, in Becker the teacher reads the book to you and has you underline and highlight. Roger writes on a white board and explains things in a hyper way. I read the Wiley books myself and listened to Ninja Audio a LOT. In any of them, you should work a lot of problems to get the practice in.
