Can I still pass if I did not write enough for the Written Communication portion?
I just wrote one long paragraph, did not divide it into intro, body and conclusion because I had a time constraint. Is it still possible for me to pass the AUD portion?

It is completely possible you passed. I have not written very much for any of my written communication tabs on Audit or Reg and passed both. If you do well enough on the MC and the other parts of the simulations, you should not have a problem.
Remember, 1/3 of the written communication "points" are basically grammar, spelling, and organization. So those are easy to get no matter what you write about, even if you are completely wrong in your attempt to complete the tab. And 70% of the test is the MC. You can still pass an exam when bombing the simulations/not completing parts of them as long as you do well on the rest of the exam. You will never pass an exam if you bomb the MC, since that is 70% of the total (except for BEC). Remember that when studying and it might relieve some stress if you dislike the simulations like I do!
You can score high enough to pass without any points at all from the written. Any score at or over a 85 could have passed with no written points at all (85-10=75).
For some reason the written parts have been rough for me. My goal going into AUD (my first section) was to do well enough to not need any written points. I ended up doing above average in all categories except the written (got average) and could have passed with no points in my written at all.

See, I almost feel you need to score decent on the written to pass.
I failed Audit last time around with a 72, and my mailed scored showed I was average or stronger in every subject area, and for the overall I was marked as stronger on the M/C, Average on the Sims, and Weaker in the written comm's.
It was very disheartening when it says your average or stronger in all subject areas compared to the passing scores, yet be given failing grade.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that score break down. I know other people who have gotten a break down saying they were average or better for everything and they still did not pass. My guess is that there just isn't enough detail of the stuff you really missed, maybe in an attempt to keep people from fully understanding how the exam is graded/scored.
It is possible to not do the written communication and pass, but you would have to do really really well on the rest of the exam. All I am saying is since I dislike the simulations and written communication portions, instead of stressing about them I make sure I focus on doing well with MC. I still attempt all the tabs and the written comm on the exam, but I am hoping to only need partial credit from those areas to pass. And like I said above, 1/3 of the written portion is writing intelligently, with a clear structure, good grammar, and correct spelling. Those are easy "points", so you should always attempt to write something for a communication tab even if you have no idea about the correct answer. Even if you lay out a basic memo outline you will probably get some credit.
