Just finished going through Becker book. Havent really reviewed (have done some progress tests but only did SIMS once and only read through most of the book once). Also havent done the practice exams yet, but I plan on doing those once I actually do some review. I would appreciate if people would share their advice. I will be honest, I am not feeling so confident (better than I did a week ago). But, I felt I was prepared better at this point in my studies for my other exams than I am for AUD.

Know allowance for bad debt and bad debt expense entries. Be able to record a sale.

Just took it on Friday…I did a becker progress test every day for the 7 days leading up to it and did the first final practice 2 weeks before the date of exam, and the second final practice 1 week before. Not sure if it worked as I'm still waiting for my score. As far as TBS questions go, I honestly don't know if practicing those is useful – it's just the same content in a different format AND you get the access the authoritative literature (which can sometimes be really helpful!)

    Good luck!

Thanks @CFOnotCPA…yeah i have been hearing that there are a lot of journal entry questions which surprises me since becker does not really go through it. I guess they just assume people have taken FAR before and can transfer that knowledge to do basic journal entry questions

@BostonCPAtoBE…i have heard that the sims are very tough for audit. Did you need the entire 4 hours for the exam and how would you break down the amount of time you spent for MC and Sims. Also, how would you say the becker exam was compared to the real thing. I am just starting to get that feeling of connecting everything i have learned.

    For the Sims:

Know the wording for different types of letters (standard opinion, modified opinions, management rep letters, and attestation letters)

know the entries for Allowance for doubtful accounts (just took it today wish someone had told me this ): )

know the types of internal controls and audit procedures to prevent/detect mistatements

know what could increase or decrease inherent and control risk.

@Knicks92 – yeah the SIMS were…something. Definitely used up at least half of my time on them…but I did finish 30 minutes early.
