I am trying to decide which section I am going to take next and am looking for an easier exam since I will be in busy season. People always say AUD and BEC are the easier of the 4… Yet aud seems to always have the lowest passing rate. My question is: is AUD one of the harder exams or are people just not studying hard enough for it since it is supposedly “easier”

    FAR - 11/30/14 -79
    AUD - 2/19/15 -86
    BEC - 4/09/15 -86
    REG - 11/30/15 -87

    I'M DONE! ITS OVER! WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I thought AUD was probably the easiest (I walked out feeling like I passed) but it's one of the subjects I'm least comfortable with so I studied really, really hard for it. I think the wording and subjective-seeming nature of the questions give people a lot of trouble (all the “choose the best, least likely, most likely” type questions).

I was frequently thankful that I had past audit experience under my belt while studying for it. Maybe look through your review materials first and then make a decision? Sample some MCQ's?

Well I will tell you, I haven't taken FAR yet, but so far audit has been the worst for me. I also walked out 100% convinced I failed (look at my previous posts). However, I passed with a pretty high score. To be honest, I think the low pass rate has increased the curve on this exam, but who really knows how that works. I also find it difficult to study because it is boring. But to a certain extent there is the least amount of material on this exam than basically any others. It is really only info from one college course, where REG was four and BEC was like nine. I think it also really just depends on your strengths or weaknesses.

    Took final exam 2/25/15.
    Sent in Application 3/12/15.
    Issued License 3/20/15.
Used CPA Excel solely for all exams.

i didnt think AUD was particularly harder than far or reg. it was comparable to bec, i think aud has a low pass rate due to ppl underestimating it
