Well it's back to being MIA as I prepare for Audit. Like many other Becker students I started studying on October 18th. 5 days in I'm already hating it! I had no desire to pursue Audit coming out of undergrad and I SURE DO NOT have any desire to study it now!!

I work for a tax consulting firm so I experience those heavy "crunch times" that we all make fun of. The last year of my life has consisted of busy season at work, and busy season of studying. Here's the break down: Feb - April CRUNCH TIME, May-Early July FAR TIME, July-Aug BEC TIME, Aug-October 15 CRUNCH TIME AGAAAAIN! I'm SO exhausted and having so much trouble gearing up to study. My test is in 3 1/2 weeks. Oh boy.

Anyways, I've never started one of these post thingys before and thought I would voice my troubles since I'm sure there are many other canidates like myself out there. PLEASE THROW ME SOME MOTIVATION!!!! :)

BEC 8/10 - 92
AUD 11/15 - 99
REG 11/22 - 97 (7 days craming!)

The only motivation I could give you is that AUD was the easiest of the four sections for me, despite having taken only one auditing class my entire life.

So...hopefully the worst is behind you!

Oh yeah, with the scores you have already, you are going to do fine with AUD studying with Becker. No worries. But, I'd die to have your or whitesoxfancpa's FAR score right about now...I've got that bad baby coming up 11/29, and I ain't happy about it. :)

2010Please - My advice to you is know the governmental! By the time you get to those chapters you'll be ready throw your hands up but you have to keep going! As a poor test taker in college, I buckled down, took FAR first and got a 96. I wasn't even sure I had passed so it's totally doable. You'll definitely be a CPA in 2010!!!

2 weeks and counting... yikes!!! There's so much to remember! Here I was thinking I wouldn't be busy at work, but I'm basically still fully billed! Looks like a fun 2 weeks of cram time.

Thanks JamaicanGirlCPA! Trust me - those scores were a shocker to me... I wasn't even sure I passed FAR. Who knows how they really grade things things anyways.

Florida_Candidate - If that's the AUD Secret that got you a 99 I will say that for every minute I put in! I've literally be studying all weekend. No question I'll make the 100 hour mark by next Monday. This stuff seems like it isn't clicking this time around (mind you, I'm pretty sure I said that for FAR and BEC too...). Well it's 10:40AM here and I've been studying for an hour... so 1 hour closer to the end :)

AUD will be my next section. I hope it is as easy as some on here say. Does everybody reccomend Becker only, or did you use any supplemental material?

I used becker, and I thought it was plenty of material. I would highly recomend becker for AUD, and BEC so far.

It was recommended to me by some colleagues to stick with becker for Audit... I can let you know how it goes after Monday!

GOod Luck Peter Olinto Fan.. I have AUD in 2 weeks.. my last section ( I hope). I noticed there was NO Peter Olinto in the AUD lectures.. I hope that doesn't work against you.. haha :)
