I’ve finished reading the book once, doing all the MCQ’s/SIMS once with Becker. Im re-doing all MCQ’s again, which I usually do for REG & BEC, and it helped.

Im only on A2 though, and will probably start A3 in an hour or two.. Im not sure what I can do at this point.. Tomorrow I was planning on doing more MCQ’s and Final Exam #1, and then on Tuesday Final Exam #2, and I guess review all the flashcards…

Im not sure at this point.. I feel like a failure.. I felt much more prepared for REG, and semi-prepared for BEC.. but for AUD.. not even close .. I keep going to sleep with headaches and wake up with headaches just thinking about it..

Any advice?

I think MCQ's are the way to go for the Audit final review. I'd also read over all the reports and make sure you know what's covered in each one. Good luck.

Does your NTS expires now? Do you have the option to reschedule to Oct? If you don't feel prepared; why don't you reschedule and complete your study?

I have until Nov, but I take FAR in October.. so I can't really reschedule.. I did everything once, but Im not sure if I should keep doing the MCQ & Final exam 1 & 2.. I mean Im pretty OK with the majority of the topics I think.. I just don't know if there is anything else I need to be doing… Esp. for the SIMS.. I heard some people say they are the hardest on AUD out of the CPA exams..

I thought you were banned from doing the Becker tests in the final days before the exam. 🙂

My advice would be to focus on doing your review on the rest of the material and to NOT TAKE the final exams. That's my 0.02. If you had a week left to fine tune areas of weakness, I would recommend doing the final exams. Right now, they will only shatter your confidence.

Take the final exams. You might be able to pick up on some little details that are tested in the final exam questions, but not the regular MCQ's. Expose yourself to as much material as possible. How long does it take you to get through the AUD question sets? Don't freak out. It only took me about 30 seconds per question…but even if you take a minute, if there's 120 questions per unit, that's 2 hours per unit (DO skip the optional practice questions the second time through). So you can knock out 2-6 in 8 hours. I think between the rest of tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday, you should have enough time to do both final exams and the MCQ's if you sit down and get to it.

I'm taking FAR on Wednesday, and I'm only on F7 working back through….my plan is finish F7 and F8 tonight, do F9 and F10, as well as one practice test tomorrow, do the second final exam Tuesday morning and take Tuesday afternoon off. I think if you adopt a similar plan, you should be able to cover all the things you want to cover.

Well, I would do what Mrs 300 recommended… Don't be afraid of AUD, if you think you are ok with the material chances are that you will do fine…

I will do the MCQ's two times total for all of them.. and after I finish exam 1 & 2, Ill probably do random 100-200 questions quizes.. I remember before my REG exam, I did all 653ish questions in 5.5 hrs!

I know i know.. i shouldn't take the exams a day or two before my real exam, but I learned that I will always score lower on them then the real thing.. I mean with BEC.. I scored maybe 69 avg on 1, and 55-60? on 2.. I got an 81! REG it was maybe 70-79.. so im expecting a lower score! I just hope its above 65-70 :/…

I am trying to do as many mcqs as possible between now and wednesday, as well as look over the flash cards.. I feel so overwhelmed …

I'm generally feeling the same with BEC. Trying to get through all the MCQ's a 2nd time and currently in chapter 5 (of 6). Still haven't written notes for chapters 5 & 6 though because of getting behind, so I'd like to still do that plus take my Final Exams. I think the Finals are still helpful to see extra MCQ's as @joshuahuskers mentioned, plus to see any weaker areas you need to quickly review. And remember, for AUD it really helps to use the Authoritative Literature for the SIMS on the exam. Mine weren't too bad, actually. Oh, and most people agree that the 2nd Final for AUD is tougher than the 1st, if I remember correctly. (I think I actually did better overall on the 2nd though). Good luck!

Yeah, I always think the final exams are very beneficial to knowing where you have weaknesses in.. and I really think its a good review as well. WOW 96 on AUD! How would you gauge the final exams in comparison to the AUD exam? I have to do 906 MCQ's tomorrow to finish everything twice.. and THEN the flashcards and then the final exams…. and then review the final exams… what a lonnnng two days it will be.

Don't skip on the final exams. They are more difficult and very beneficial. It will guide you what topics you should review and solidify your understanding. And don't be discourage if you flunk them, they're there for your practice. On the real exam you will see that the material is much more easier compared to the Becker final exam. Good luck! Practice makes perfect, don't give up.

I HATED studying for AUD and really procrastinated. That being said the exam was ok. doing all the MCQs really helped since this is a test of “best answer”, not just right answer. The sims were fair too and the literature for AUD really includes pretty much everything. You'll likely have a ton of time to spend on the sims. Don't make yourself crazy over this test.

Now watch- I'll get a 42 come score release and eat my words.

For me, the AUD exam MCQs were just like doing Becker questions. Most of them were VERY similar, and I think at least 5 in each section were identical to Becker. I was pleasantly surprised.

I did all Becker MCQs at least twice, some topics three times, so on the actual exam I flew through them pretty quickly. That gave me plenty of time for SIMS, which were a bit more difficult. They weren't anything like Becker's. They really tied in few topics together. I also had 2 research questions (on the research, use the advanced search function – you can pinpoint the answer a lot quicker than using general search).

I think if you understand the concepts so far and review MCQs before the exam, you can do SIMs with no problem, just leave your self extra time.

@Sandra – I procrastinated a bit too much.. gave myself 2.5 weeks, and only really studied like 4-5 hrs a day hahaha.. I guess this is what I get. With your scores on FAR & REG.. I doubt youll get a 42 😉 More like a 99!

@G35 – Appreciate all your input! I will hopefully do all 906 of the remaining questions tomorrow, and maybe both final exam 1 and 2 on Tuesday, as well as the flashcards. If I have extra time I will do some 25-50-100 practice questions.
