I got a 70 on AUD and I’m currently studying to sit again for early Jan 2015. My score report indicated that i was stronger in MC and weaker in sims (which is how i felt when i walked out of the testing center). I’ll admit that i strategically “skipped” studying some areas due to time constraints and I’m obviously going over those areas in detail for my next round of testing. I’ve also started reviewing the sims in my becker material and the research portion seems difficult to me for some reason. For those that use becker, the answer key for the research sims seem VERY generic. For example, one research sim from A1 asks “what are examples of administrative changes that may be performed by Jackie on audit documentation after the report release date?” the key word in the solution is “administrative changes”…if this was the real thing, i would’ve searched for something related to documentation. Are there any research sim pros out there who can give me some pointers? I mainly use the search function and start reading through some of the results but maybe i need to start using the “search within” or “advanced search” function more.

I usually search key words and then do a search within, if I have another relevant term. Sometimes I just use the tabs on the left. I struggled with the audit research sims, too and practiced a bunch the last day before my exam because I got one wrong on my practice exam. I think with sims and especially research ones, practice makes perfect.
