Repetition is key I think. You should feel better about it after reading it 2 or 3 times. And of course, the MCQs.
Unfortunately, I take AUD 11/30 so I have 4 days to learn the material. I'm way behind on my studies this round. I'll go ahead and assume I'm doomed and plan on a retake early January.
Ah i see. Well maybe MCQs will be enough. And maybe you'll get lucky. I'm taking it on the 26th. Very scared..
@jjm don't feel bad! I am just starting A4 & A5 mc Q's as well and my test is also NOV 30th! I think we should be ok! We only need a 75! Repetition is key and I find it helpful to READ the question and associate it with assertions and directional testing...after awhile it makes sense to me! I wish the Becker book wouldn't repeat so much stuff, A5 is so repetitive! Good luck to us on the 30th! p.s. I refuse to fail AUD!
jenuno01 - whats your plan for the final few days? I'm finishing A5 questions today. Not sure if I should do every Becker MCQ again or move onto Wiley. Not sure if I should spend time reviewing the becker flashcards. I plan on reading over the notes I made from the MCQs. So many different roads to studying and not sure which one to take. In FAR and BEC I was so prepared that I had exhausted each study method twice. This time I'm just cramming and learning. Not a fun way to study.
@jjm
It seems that wiley has as lot of the same mcqs as becker. But it is harder than Becker because of the additional questions.
I plan on just working through all the MCQ's once and mark the ones I miss or the ones that are not repeated and just keep on practicing them... I also like to skim over the Becker book just to get more of a big picture on the topics... I thought about buying the NINJA notes, but they are no longer on sale and I am short on cash LOL
Thanks misanthrope87. I will probably go through Becker one more time and move on to Wiley if I have time. NINJA notes would be a good option too, but with so little time, not sure if I should try and supplement that right now. AHHHH! I feel so rushed with 4 days. It's a weird panic.
Audit is a process. Once you complete it, you will understand the entirety of auditing. It's very odd at first but stick with the lectures. Practice. Also, I recommend you type some of the reports to get out of the dry boredom of looking at these. It's what got my through. Don't be afraid of researching in PCAOB site - very helpful.
