    I am having an ok time with the first few chapters, but I am having a major problem with audit evidence.

    I understand tracing/vouching/completeness/existence part.

    when I do MCQs I am completely thrown off by the actual auditing situation(prenumbered this with invoice/ order request/journal entry etc) how do you guys study for that part? I am doing this over and over and I just can't relate how it flows with my work experience (did we have that many paperworks when we order things?).

    I appreciate your input.

    question abt the flowcharts:

    Auditor makes them or client makes them?

    Questionnaires are filled by the clients though. correct?

    Just started studying for AUD a few days ago, hoping to make this my last sitting ever. I just got finished reading through and watching the lectures tonight for AUD-1 in Roger's course (Auditing Standards & Engagement Planning), and I'm having trouble differentiating correct answers because everything sounds like it's right or at least pretty relevant. Does it get less like this along the way, or is this something that comes with literally memorizing every single conceptual detail to the tee? I know it's a lot about memorization for AUD, but I'd like for it to all click at some point too.

    Anyway, good luck to everyone studying for AUD for this upcoming testing window!

    ayafzal78, I'm sorry – I'm a chapter behind you so am not sure. I hope to finish up A2 today and work through A3 tomorrow. I'm trying to rush the chapters a little bit so I can get to the point of non-stop MCQs (I think that is what has helped me the most with all of the other tests).

    kmm1216: I think it will get easier the second time you work through the question sets. I have only done A1 and almost all of A2 (in Beckers) which is a lot of report writing rules for different type engagements (issuers vs. non issuers, audit vs review vs compilation; attest engagements, interim period reviews, etc). I'm NOT having fun with all of the subtle nuances. However, each night after I've worked in a subsequent section, I finish my study time by going back to do MCQs or readings from the previous chapter – I notice I'm starting to pick up more and more on the subtle differences.

    @ayafzal78 I was reading through the Roger text and it seems like the auditor prepares the flowcharts and they are updated from year to year.

    The questionnaires are put together by the auditor and are answered by the client. I think they are usually Yes/No questions and when they answer no it's an indication that the control is not working effectively.

    Hope that helps.

    Financelady what keeps me going is the potential to make more money. Not to mention I am in the process of looking for another job and have been passed up a few times where I feel like if I had my CPA I would have had the job.

    question about Prometrics testing date;

    My audit exam date is for May 9. that was becus I was planning to take Reg first week of April. However, now I am taking Audit in the beg of April(date not decided yet). Is there a time limit to when I can move the date to an earlier date? I know that if you change the exam date from 30-5 days before the exam there is no fee but lets say that on April 1st, I change my audit date from May 9th to April 12th…no fee right? I understand that I might not get my choice of the time or the center though but that's a risk I am willing to take

    @ayafzal78, Are you sure if you change the exam date from 30-5 days then there is now fee? Maybe you should call them and ask. I've never changed my exam date before so I don't really know.

    Hi Ninjas, I finished with Audit Sampling. I'm going to start IT Auditing tomorrow! I hope everyone is having a productive weekend!
