Hi all!

I'm new to the blog/forum. I have taken BEC (70) and FAR (waiting for grade-was not ready to sit for it so expecting the worst). I am scheduled to take AUD on July 3rd. I am hoping to be much more prepared for it. Any suggestions? And is anyone taking it around the same time who would be interested in staying in touch through the next month?

Hi Becca. I'm taking AUD on 7/29. Would love to stay in touch. I'm trying to come up with a better study plan right now. I'm a very big note taker – I learn much better when I write but there is so much material/text for AUD my usual is not going to work this time. Good luck on FAR. 🙂

I created these study groups so that people taking the same exams could stay in touch and communicate – but at arm's length (aka no stalkers…it *is* the internet)…it also helps prevent exam disclosure off-site.

So far, I'm finding “evidence” to be a little tricky. Questions like ‘which audit procedure would detect an overstatement of cash?' I don't have any audit or working experience at this point, so that makes it more difficult to figure out this type of question. I”m not sure how to get better at it besides going through MCQ's again.

I'd appreciate suggestions for supplementing my AUD MCQs. Since starting the exam, I've relied on Wiley (paperback books) and Ninja outlines/audio. After passing FAR and BEC, I stumbled on AUD with a 68. I plan to retake in July. I'll get Jeff's updated outline and audio, and will order a fresh Wiley book that addresses the new Clarified Audit Standards.

I'd like to supplement with additional MCQs–Can anyone suggest a quality online source for MCQs other than Wiley? It seems like Wiley is the only source to purchase test bank questions without purchasing an entire course. I would prefer a non-Wiley source just to mix it up some.

Did Wiley release another 2013 Book with the Standards at the back (Clarity Standards I mean). Because the 2013 book I have for Wiley does not have any Clarity at the back I have been relying on the AICPA website for my Clarity fix. I hope I don't lose my six months free membership because I need them. I was disappointed that they did not include in the back. Retake July 2013.
