My practice tests went well, getting good scores on the homework, but failed the exam (still confused as to how). So I will be in again for Q1. Let's all pass

I don't like the attribute sampling risk concept. I get the idea, it's just that i don't understand how can one know the overall population true deviation rate. Obviously nobody is gonna test the whole population, in which case why even bother theorize, we will never know!!! Am I right?

I'm in! (I have mine scheduled for January 17th, but that could change depending on how I did on REG).

    FAR: 83
    REG: 69, 69, retake Q1 2015
    AUD: Q2 2015
    BEC: Q2 2015

@ anjanja I had to go back through my notes to get a grip on this. You are correct that we will never know the true deviation of the entire population. The auditors will still theorize about it. If a sample of items indicates there might be a higher deviation rate than they expected, then the auditor has to consider whether or not their original planned assessment of the risk for that control was misjudged. If so, you have to reevaluate the the nature timing and extent of your substantive procedures. This all related back to the idea of an efficient audit…if you assessed control risk too high or too low, then you either spent did more substantive testing that you had to or not enough.

Hey everyone, I just took REG few days back, now I am starting with AUD and want to get it done quickly in 5 weeks. I don't want to wait for the result for REG and I will like to get back to it after AUD even if I need to take it again. How should I go about it? Any suggestions? I am thinking of taking 10 days and finishing all lectures and then mcqs topic by topic of Becker and ninja mcqs and sims.leave 1 week for review before the exam.

    FAR : 68, 74, 83 Thank you God 🙂
    BEC : 78 (8/27) 🙂
    REG : 72 ,80 (2/25) 🙂
    AUD : 69,67, 07/23

I just took AUD yesterday and it definitely kicked my butt. There were a lot of questions about derivatives and analytical procedures so watch out you guys. You need to read and understand the audit reports, because they are heavily tested. I also had 2 research problems in the simulation but one was relatively easy, which I think was the pretested one. I used Roger, NINJA notes and MCQs and also Wiley. I looked up the release dates and it says Dec.9 which means I have a little over a week to relax while I await the verdict.
