You got this Martin. So much of these stupid exams comes down to luck. If you get an exam that pretty much covers all your weak areas you're in trouble. You're so close you will get it next time for sure!

Thanks, Im glad you passed with such a great score. My score on Ninja is now around 83% after 300 questions, so I will start hitting the simulations. Im 100% sure I failed because of the simulations. You are almost done since BEC has the highest passing rates. You are on your way!

CPABelieverCaligirl, I got the Gleim simulations test bank. It comes with around 20 exams with a bunch of simulation on each exam. What did your score report say on your first 74?

I'm another 72 retaking May 30th. Looks like we got a trend going. I won't be staring my studies till after April 15th. Good luck to all of us.

I found out I failed AUD again…going to retake in April. I was doing so good on the MCQ and practice exams. I am going to do more MCQ and focus a lot on the SIMS. Also, I am going to re-read the NINJA notes. I am going to pass this exam once and for all. Can't give up. It took me so long to pass BEC, it would be a shame to have those efforts go to waste.

    AUD - 70, retake April 2015
    REG - May 2015
    FAR - August 2015

took AUD in feb and failed with a 73 🙁

do you guys think studying full time for a month will help me pass? I want to take it by April 20th.

I'm not sure how to plan/start studying for AUD. are watching Becker lectures & doing mcq's enough? should I purchase ninja mcq's? I already have ninja flashcards and ninja notes… HELP!

I took Audit at the end of February and got an 85. That was my first CPA exam. Here are some tips. Know chapter 6 of the Becker, a lot of MCQ's from that. For the sims know how to do adjusting entires. And also don't forget to use the search function if given a SIM on a report because more than likely you can find the answer.

    AUD 2/21/15: 85
    FAR 5/22/15: TBD
    REG: TBD
    BEC: TBD

dcdmdawg: I didn't watch any of the lectures or read any of the books, imo that is a huge waste of time. I think if you buy the ninja MCQ's and just do a lot of those and also study flashcards you will be good to go.

    Hey dcd

Difficult to say, I quit my job (kept my part-time)to take these exams fast and failed AUD with 69 (my first exam/attempt) the problem is the SIMS. I did not study around the clock as I have a child ( this is the reason I quit my job so that I wouldn't take time away from my son as I did going to college and working).

I did endless multiple choice questions, watched the videos, did all SIMS and averaged 89% on those with a 93% on final exam. Plus, I studied 17 chapters of the 20 chapters ( only watched the video for last 3 chapters which was not the reason I failed) I memorized the unmodified report and know how to modify it for the other reports. I failed bc of the SIMS I had a lil over 2 hrs left to do the sims, spent 1/2 hr freaking out before I got into it lol. If I didnt freak out I would have passed. I wasted to much time thinking abt how conditions affect ratios ( this was not emphasized on my course)

my experience is that even if you know the book inside-out (I use Gleim) the SIMS could mess it up for you. make sure you do as many MCQ as possible. You took the exam already so u have some idea.

dcd all you can do is follow the study material, study the book, do all MCQ and SIMS available to you, and hope for the best.

And don't ever ever ever ever forget, the secret to passing is never to give-up.

@ jck Congrats on passing 🙂

I agree with you, I studied a lot and I feel that if I just stuck by doing endless mcq and sims it would have prepared me as well as reading/ studying the book!

I need advice on how to pass Audit. I have been at it for almost a year now.

The first time I took it was in May 2014. I got a 63. I did well on MCQ but bombed SIMS for sure to get a 63. I only used Becker.

My second time was in August 2014. I got a 69. This time, I didn't do so well on MCQ but did well on SIMS. I only used Becker.

My third time was in November 2014. I got a 71. I was comparable across the board on MCQ and scored weaker on SIMS. I used Becker and NINJA.

My fourth time was in February 2015. I got a 65. Basically my score report was the same as the first time I took it. I scored strong on one topic, and comparable for everything else and clearly bombed SIMS again. I used Becker and NINJA.

My main issue is SIMS. I don't have any audit experience. I am not good in internal control at all. Every answer choice seems right to me. I don't know what else to do.

Audit is my only hurdle and omg it is killing me

I took Audit at the end of Feb and failed with a 71. Just got my score report and it totally shocked me. I was weaker in the MCQ and scored strong in the SIMS. I'm shocked because I was trending at 87% and 86% in two of my MCQ areas that I got weaker on the score report. The only comparable I got was on a section I was trending at 70%. I even did a practice exam in Ninja and scored a 78% on it so I was bummed when I got the 71. My overall average score was right at a 71% (so I guess I shouldn't be shocked), but it just surprised me that my weaker areas were areas that I felt I knew pretty good.

All well…I'll be re-taking it in April as well. I had already started studying for REG, but I'm going to go back to AUD first. I'm planning on hammering MCQ's and re-writing the Ninja notes. I was able to get through 1150 ninja MCQ questions last time, but this time I want to have them all down!!

    Good luck everyone!

I dont pay much attention to trending score, I always follow the average score and my average with ninja was 74%. My average with Wiley and Becker was around 85%,but I got weaker on simulations. I see there are a lot of people who score a 72 this last window.
