Question on audit documentation preparation and retention, I'm seeing 2 different sets of numbers. One says document assembly within 60 days and retention of not less than 5 years. Then another one says 45 days assembly, retention at least 7 years. What's the difference and when the rule applies? Is the first rule from AICPA and the second from PCAOB?

Hi team Q4, I just passed FAR, and I'm now studying for AUD. I'm using CPA Excel as my primary review, and so far things only kind of make sense. I know I was lost when I started FAR but I feel FAR is more black and white than AUD. Anyone else feel this way?

    FAR: 78*, 75
    REG: 76*, 85
    BEC: 79*, 76
    AUD: 79*, 93

All scores expired, let's try this again.

    FAR - 78*
    AUD - 66, 79
    REG - 73, 76
    BEC - 79

CPAby2015, you are correct. AICPA requires 60 days and 5 years, while PCAOB requires 45 days and 7 years.

Can anyone explain to me in a simple way in how to remember the operating cycles? Roger's lecture on that gets a bit confusing.

@hugemistake I've used it for all 3, and I think it does a decent job of trying to cover the material; Haha me too! I'm taking it a few days after I start working (Oct 4th).. Going to be an interesting few weeks..
