AUD subject overlap with other sections?

Due to scheduling conflicts, I have had to schedule my AUD exam for July 1st. That’s a looong time from now. Does anyone know if AUD content overlaps with other sections, so that maybe I can study for two sections at once during the last few weeks of my studying? If so, what areas can I study concurrently? Or is the idea of studying for two sections at the same time not advised?

You'll see Internal Control on both AUD and BEC. It's a BIG subject in Audit, and you'll see it in BEC (on a much smaller scale) as part of Corporate Governance.

I started studying for BEC right after AUD, and it was a pleasant surprise to see something that was really fresh in my mind.

    AUD: 84 - Oct. 2013
    BEC: 83 - Feb. 2014
    REG: 91 - May, 2014
    FAR: 68, 96 - Oct. 2014...DONE

Since AUD tests audit standards, you need to understand US GAAP, so there is natural overlap with FAR, but it's not nearly as extensive. With that said, there are topical overlaps between sections, but I don't think there's anything incredibly similar. The one section that you can be sure doesn't really overlap would be REG.

If I were you, I'd use the time to focus on studying the clarity standards and worry about the next section after you've taken AUD.

FAR, FAR, FAR. I was told to take FAR before AUD and am glad I did. When I took the SIMS for AUD, I honestly thought I was taking FAR SIMS. Took AUD 4 weeks after taking FAR, and got my highest score of the 4. And I have absolutely zero experience in audit other than my college classes 14 years ago.

    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.
