Audit Doubts

Hey guys, so I’m currently reviewing for audit next week. I have been doing around 50 multiple choice questions per chapter as a review/to test my knowledge. I’ve been doing well, scoring into the 90’s on some sections. However, I still just feel doubtful and overwhelmed by the minutiae on this test. I mean, based on my scores I’m more than ready. However, I just feel like there is a ton of stuff I have yet to grasp/memorize.

    Anyone feel the same?

If everyone took the exam once they felt ready, there would be no CPAs.

You'll be fine. You could be scoring 10-15pts less and my opinion wouldn't differ much.

I am getting ready for the AUD exam in 2 weeks and worried because of my lack of time in preparing for this one. Any suggestions on areas I could focus on? (without giving away any specific test per AICPA guidelines)

    BEC - 5/3/14
    AUD - 77 (x1)
    REG - 86 (x3)
    FAR - 75 (x3)

Ben looks like we in the same boat. I was burnt out after studying for FAR and I started two weeks later than I originally planned. I am going to spend about 80 percent of my time doing multiple choice problems from here on out. Other 20 percent doing flashcards and skimming the book.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

Yep Study Monk I take AUD on the 27th. I had my appendix out end of December which pushed back my REG exam date farther into January than I would like. That combined with mental study fatigue I am not nearly as ready as I would like. I think I am going to wrap up some note taking and then dive into the material and do a lot of MCQ's. Too much to do in so little time. Hoping for a pass!

    BEC - 5/3/14
    AUD - 77 (x1)
    REG - 86 (x3)
    FAR - 75 (x3)

REG is the exam I fear most. I have no tax experience, so I am planning to study crazy amounts for this exam. I have 3 cpaexcel classes for 9 units for this test alone. Should be fun!

Caesar1991, what review course are you using? I was averaging in the 80s using Wiley when i took the exam. To me, the actual exam adds about 15+ points to my Wiley score. So with your score, I think you are ready! Good luck!

    REG-89 (08/26/13)
    FAR-91 (10/28/13)
    BEC-87 (11/25/13)
    AUD-96 (01/06/14)
    Ethics-92 (12/08/13)
    CPA Licensed

I have passed FAR and REG…took me a couple times each one. Now I am trying to knock out AUD in a short amount of time, shorter than I like. Hopefully it will be enough in two weeks to pass this thing. REG was a tough one for sure and I have had no tax experience myself. You can do it!

    BEC - 5/3/14
    AUD - 77 (x1)
    REG - 86 (x3)
    FAR - 75 (x3)

Study Monk-we are both testing February 28th! And, I am a Taurus as well. Anyway, I am worried about audit also. I used Becker for FAR and passed my first time and am using Wiley now. I am not sure if my anxiety is because of the different program usage or what, but I feel very uneasy about this next exam. The rest of our exam dates are similar as well. I'm taking REG April 7th and BEC May 22nd because we're leaving May 23rd for our cruise!

    FAR 82
    REG 76
    BEC 71, 78 (There is a light!!!)
    AUD 69, 83 (DONE!!!!)
