Hey Everyone! I am going to give the Audit exam soon in April. Thats very soon :9 and like everyone else, I am super nervous and I lack motivation, I am using Becker, and I just wanted to know from the previous exam takers that should focus on every little detail of the book? I wish there was selected studying 😛

I took the exam in Janaury and passed. I will say Becker prepared me well. My one major piece of advice is that you should be comfortable with ALL of the topics and not just the ones that are supposed to be weighted more. In my exam I got only a handful of question on the topics with the highest weighting, and almost a whole testlet full of questions from a smaller topic (not audit reports).

In my experience, I would focus on all the topics at a high level and don't get too caught up into the little details. It can be obvious about what topics they are likely to test on based on what Becker has in their review materials. I would also definitely brush up on FAR concepts as they tend to test those too.

I used Becker for AUD and thankfully passed with 3 weeks of studying. Good luck!

    AUD - 01/18/14 - 81
    BEC - 05/29/14 - 85
    FAR - 07/18/14 - 81
    REG - 11/18/14 - 80

I can't tell you what you should do since I have not taken this exam before, but I can tell you what I am doing since I am in the same boat:

80% of time on multiple choice questions

10% of time in book clarifying multiple choice questions

10% sims/AL mostly to break up the routine.

I don't have any obvious weaknesses, so I am just doing questions on every topic(not saying I am strong on everything either).

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"
