Audit Fail – Can you be weaker in Sims and pass?

In the 6 areas of MCQs, I got stronger in 4 (16-20%) , weaker in 1 (12-16%) , and comparable in 1. (16-20%) How does that translate into an overall “comparable” in MCQ?

    I got weaker in Simulations.

Score was a 70. Should I expect a higher score?

If I continue to practice MCQ, and maybe get a ‘stronger’ in all of them, would I still pass with a weaker Sim? I just don’t know how else to prepare for Sims….so disappointed.

I personally don't think anyone can pass with a “weaker” in SIMS, I failed a few times, sometimes it's stronger in many MCQ areas but “weaker” in SIMS and I got a 74. Even for BEC which SIMS should only make up 15%.

    Hope that helps.

    BEC: 78
    REG: 87
    AUD: 85
    FAR: Oct

Not AUD related, but I passed Reg with comparable Business Law MCQ, Stronger in everything else MCQ, and weaker in sims.

    BEC - 47, 63, 77
    FAR - 53, 63, 70, 64, 73, 69, 75
    REG - 25 (Did not study), 70, 58, 62, 78
    AUD - 85

You would probably be able to pass if you got a “Stronger” in the MCQs. They are worth 60%.

Yes. You can be weaker in SIM and still pass but you have to be stronger in MCQ to get over 75. I was weaker in both REG and BEC simulation and stronger in the MCQ and I scored 77 in both exams.

    AUD - 87
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 83
    REG - 77
    Licensed in 2015

    Far - Passed 83
    Aud - Passed 84
    Bec - Passed 77
    Reg- Passed 77

You cannot pass with comparable in both sections.

Also, to answer Op's question, while you received stronger scores in four sections, those sections totaled the same as the weaker score in terms of weight. Basically, your test happened to be heavy on a topic/concept that wasn't a strength.

Not sure about AUD but for REG I had no idea how to do any of the SIMS and I still passed. I couldn't even find the damn research question…the RESEARCH! I thought for sure I failed for that reason alone.

I was comparable in the MCQs for BEC and weaker on the WC and still passed. But obviously that test is different with MCQs worth 85%. I got a 74% in FAR being comparable in the simulations and weaker on the MCQs. So I do think it is possible to be comparable and weaker on the other and still pass. Then again, maybe that's why I didn't pass.
