Audit or BEC before I start?

Hey guys, so I got the results back and I failed audit (70). I’m currently studying for REG which I take on the 29th, which means I’ll have 3 weeks before I start my job to study either Audit again or BEC.

The reason I’m not sure is because I’m going to be working as an auditor at a Big 4 firm, and I’ve gotten mixed opinions from people in the field, some saying that working as an auditor helps with the exam, and some saying that real world auditing totally screws up your mind for the “test world.” Any thoughts?

    FAR: 85
    AUD: 78
    REG: 84
    BEC: 89

Do Audit again. It will be easier to cover than starting afresh with BEC.

    AUD - 84
    REG - 82
    BEC - 89 29th Aug 2014

    I agree with h0wdyus.

Simply put, you can get through the AUD material so much quicker than BEC, because of the simple fact that you've seen it already and have mastered a decent portion of the material.

You'll probably be kicking yourself down the line as well if you choose to take BEC first when you realize how much you've forgotten from the exam last time around to the next time around on AUD.

    That's all I got…. good luck!

    FAR: 86 (July 15, '14)
    AUD: 88 (Oct 1, '14)
    BEC: 83 (Nov 23, '14)
    REG: 71, 72, retake: Jan 2, '15
