I cleared my first section of CPA exam that was FAR, People says that FAR is the beast but I am finding trouble adopting the Audit material..I am really worried my exam is in 4 weeks and I am not even half way done, It takes me hell lot of time to go through the material and understand it.

Who else is in a similar situation like me who finds Audit worst than FAR and what you guys are doing to improve your chances to pass this beast?

Thanks a bunch, happy studying friends…

Audit took me 3 tries, FAR once. You're not alone. It's the word trickery that did me in, also, if I would've taken FAR first I might have been better off on the sims since they test FAR heavy.

I took AUD in July and am studying for FAR now. It took me a while to wrap my head around the AUD material because the concepts are much more subjective ex. differences between inherent and control risk, substantive vs analytical procedures.. and FAR is much more clear cut, there is just so much more material in FAR.

However, you WILL wrap your mind around AUD and once you do, it will come a lot easier to learn everything as it all builds on each other and kind of goes hand in hand. The NINJA audio helped me to understand AUD more. In the beginning, I was doing terrible on the AUD MCQs but then after I got through more of the material it all came together for me much faster.

FAR material doesn't build on each other, it's just all about rules and you can't really intuitively guess on most of them (well at least I can't) as much as you can on AUD, so there are less shortcuts in FAR, but it is easier to learn initially.

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 86
    FAR - 78
    REG -73, 69, 86! DONE

A long time ago I read that there are problem solvers and memorizers. Problem solvers are naturally more adept at science and math (and FAR and BEC), memorizers are better at English and history (and AUD and REG) I am a problem solver, so AUD and REG were challenges for me.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75
