AUDIT VS. FAR – time commitment

Hi I’m taking Audit in April. Does anyone feel that audit is more or less difficult than FAR? I am wondering if I need to approach the Audit exam the same way as FAR? I have heard candidates spend around 200 hours studying for FAR, is this the same for Audit?

    Thanks!

It takes less time to master the AUD material for sure. If you start now (or even in the next few weeks) you should have plenty of time to nail down the material by your April exam. What I took away from AUD was this – the material is shorter and easier to learn, but the way in which they test on it is more difficult than FAR. For me at least, FAR was just a mountain of information that, once you knew it, you could pass. On the other hand, the first time I took AUD I knew the material well enough to pass, but I wasn't careful and smart about the way I took the test. There are traps all over the AUD exams, and that is what (in my mind) makes it more difficult than FAR.

I'd say since you passed FAR, AUD should be easier to prepare for, maybe 60% of the prep time of FAR. Also, there's a lot of overlap between the two – I saw FAR-like settings on both REG and AUD.
