I am new here in this forum but i read the postings on a casual basis. I normally get promotions about the ninja cpa on my email from Jeff but i never committed to purchasing any of the stuff. I need help guys, I took audit three times, My scores were 62, 59, and 65. I used CPA excel/ Wiley study material and during my study I answered 98% of the MCQs on the test bank, I reviewed my flash cards, I was also averaging 80-82% on the MCQs, the simulations I was getting above average score. I took notes but not allot. I committed to it and I will never give up. I plan on resuming my studies again in January 2015. Any advice on what I should do or not doing well to beat audit? I will get the ninja study materials but am not sure on which ones to get? Also I am considering taking BEC in January 2015 and taking a break from Audit. Someone please advice

    Determined to be a Cpa.

    Hey Ogo,

I failed Audit the first time through. I understand what you are going through. May I ask how you have been studying? I think you need to change something up. Let me know, hopefully I can provide some insight and help you conquer audit.

I normally read the whole each chapter verbatim in the text book and then answer the questions for the chapter I have studied in the textbook and test bank. Then on my way to work I review the flash cards I ordered from wiley for the topic I studied. I don't take notes but i should take note

I just got my NTS Score in the mail, It shows I was Stronger in the MCQs especially in Understanding an entity, Internal controls, evidence, and Accounting and Review. I was weak on the Simulations 🙁

I found the AL really helpful on Audit sims. If you are fine on M/C maybe consider leaving some time to look into the AL on the sims to double check yourself. It was definitely the one exam I found it was really useful.

For AUD — My score report shows “stronger” in MCQs and “weaker” in SIMs and somehow I made an 80. It makes absolutely no sense.

Ninja Audio…do it! (if that's the only thing you do, otherwise I would also suggest MCQ)

    AL= Authoritative Literature

    BEC: 77

Authoritative Literature. It's where you would search for the section/subsection/paragraph answer for your research question. But you can use it for every SIM and find some other answers too.

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
    FAR (04/12/14) 81
    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

Bobcat: It makes sense because it means you probably aced the MCQ while doing worse than a typical passing candidate on the SIMS. 40% is a lot, for sure, but if you get the whole 60% on MCQ, you can do pretty bad on SIMS and still pass.

    MD Candidate: 10/1/14

    FAR - 87 (11/23/14)
    REG - 87 (1/30/15)
    BEC - 89 (4/19/15)
    AUD - 98 (5/30/15)

    Ethics - 100
